Bill IS underappreciated. He never even appeared in the mangas based on the game in Japan, which is really sad. Maybe because he was a parody of a character from Independence Day is why he never got much recognition...

You know how the giant saucer in that level is a homage to/parody of "Independence Day", yes?

Bill! He's always been my favorite character
Killer detail here, especially in his cloths, hands, and the clouds behind him 
I really like the orange lighting (what is it about orange and star fox that fits so perfectly?), and the little violet accents in the sky. It's got this really cool moody feel to it...makes him seem sort of brooding.
Another thing that's REALLY cool (I do this too) is the way you stylized his cloths...you can tell who he is, and at the same time, you can tell someone far more creative than the whoever did the renderings for the game designed them ~__^

Poor Bill got overlooked much too often; here's hoping he shows up as a secret character in the new game or something. Even if it weren't Bill, though, this pic would be excellent. Great work with the background and lighting. In fact, the only thing that slightly bothers me about it is that Bill's face somewhat reminds me of the big puppets at Chuck E. Cheese's...

Very true, he is under appreciated, as well as everyone else in Star Fox 64. Very nice art-work. Should have put one of his bases fighters in the sky behind him. That would have been a perfect touch.
