Description
Portrait of Zelda. I was trying to depict a painting that might be hanging in Hyrule Castle.
I did this entirely in Painter. I think the reason I've been working without sketching first is because my scanner's broken. >>

This is one of my most favorite things on DeviantART. It's fan art, but I think it's wonderful that such a serious approach was taken to make it. The brushes used really do give the look of an oil painting. If Hyrule castle existed, I could imagine this hanging there. I like the lighting. And while the background is a little bland, that's not at all a bad thing--it adds to the almost somber feeling of the portrait.
Sorry for going on and on! I've just been wanting to say all of that for a while.

*cough cough* Um yah, well here is my inner critic... You fucked up her face pretty good there. Her chin is so small and messed it hurts to look at after playing the game so much. Ok, I'm sorry. Just had to say that... But, anyway, it's a nice picture. Good job!

Even without the sketch first it looks so much like Zelda, only a bit lil realistic, which is great! Hope to see some more Zelda-related stuff from ya ^_~
