It's Ambrosia, once again!I fiddled with her proportions a bit, gave her something somewhat tending more to Sonic-type proportions instead of the usual proportions I give her. ^ ^; I also softened her gaze a bit, seeing as pretty much any drawing of her, she looks like she's about to punch something and enjoy it XD... I was thinking of trying a slightly different way of giving color to this, but it was like, really late at night so I went with my standard way of coloring... Maybe next time. I wanty to see what I can do to improve my lineart as well, I've always been extremely dissatisfied with it for a couple of years now. Practice, practice, practice, I guess.
Oh well, at least I've started drawing again

Bah! Just run up to him with an electric shaver and gvie him a good buzz. Then, run like hell. He's not nearly as fast as Sonic. I'm sure Knuckles can't break 300 or 400 mph.

Heh, I totally saw the beginning scetches.. I really like how it turned out. The proportions work pretty well, I always liked how soft you made your pictures look, especially with basic coloring. ^_^ +fav

Do you ink with pen, or digitally? The only thing I could see changing about your lineart, is maybe make them thicker, and vary the thickness with the lines more. Also, Using an over all thicker outline on the outside lines, also adds an interesting, albeit cartoony, look.

Yeah, I pen most of my stuff... Thing is, I don't seem to have a steady hand at all, so I just do quick, short strokes with the pen when tracing the pencil sketch, instead of doing one continuous line. Attempting this seems to yield wobbly-looking lines, kinda like if I had touched a Fuzzy and gotten dizzy. Digitally penning the lineart does wonders, I've done it on a few of my deviations, but there's no substitute for hand-drawn lineart ^ ^;... And actually, I *did* do a thicky-outlined drawing of her some time ago, 'cause I was mimicking the SA style, I just never posted it, it seems XD Maybe I'll put it up..

Hmmm, well, what you can do, is try using a caligraphy pen, that way, all your doing is rotating the pen as you draw your line to make it go from thick to thin in one simple stroke.
Of course, it does take practice, but its easier than repeatedly going over your lines in some sections with the same pens, or differently sized pens to get the desired effect. The more you go over your lines, the higher the risk of a mess up

I was looking for calligraphy pens at a local art store some time ago... They didn't have any, and me, being lazy as I am, just went home and started sketching and completely forgot about the matter X33

So yeah, awesome stuff. It's nice not to see her murderous every once in a while, too. Not hard to guess, but this one is going into the favorites. Don't slack off now!
