you can wear goth all the time if you choose to. Dont let others judge you from your culture. Be yourself you will know who your true friends are in the end. and I love this photo of you very beautiful!

Well, it's a tad bit different when it's your mother rather than your friends, and you get grounded for it... Like everything taken out of your room/clothes confiscated/doors off the hinges grounded for it... ^^' She really hates it... No worries though. I turn eighteen this next January, and I'll be wearing it everyday from then on out.

Oh wow I am so sorry to hear that your mother feels that way. perhaps if you just sit down and calmly explain to your mother that gothic is a positive culture music, dress, wicca, paganism all focused on positive ways in life. People tend to fear what they do not understand. maybe once your mom knows more about our culture she will at least be able to tolerate it unless ( no offence if your any of your family is religious.) she is hard core religious then she may just choose not to accept it. but like i said at least try to explain it to her unless u all ready have. lol. but it sounds like your mother is just trying to protect you from what she does not understand.
i highly recommend you continue to fallow the path you wish to live if you know your heart is meant for the gothic path i highly recommend you fallow your heart. That's what i have done. the heart knows best! feel free to keep in touch with me i love to chat about music and clothes, ghost and anything else really! Oh wow Im so sorry that your mother feels that way. Perhaps if you maybe sat down with her and explained to her that our way of life style is a positive one, that it is focused on positive energy how we dress, and music. ( I can send you alot of gothic bands if you would like) Perhaps then she will be more then likely to at least tolerate how you want to live. gothic is dress, and music, wicca paganism etc. Positive way of life all positive energy. there is nothing bad about our culture. People fear what they do not understand. Sounds like your mom is just looking out for you to the extreme though.
Just try to at least talk to her about the culture and explain to her that its good not bad. if she will listen.

I've tried that, and it hasn't really worked. ^^' You're right about the extreme over protection.
Also, While I am Pagan (I'm Asatru, not Wiccan, though... ^^') I really do not associate that with my gothiness, and there are many pagans/wiccans who aren't goth at all... Not even a tiny bit. Most of them, actually... I don't think being Pagan is a part of being Goth as Goth is a subculture and Paganism is the belief in any religion that isn't Chirstian, Muslim, or Islamic... ^^'
