We're going to London which I'm excited about (shopping and art museums and whatnot)! I found out that a few members from a band I like were going to play in a club while I'm over there but I'll be at a wedding that night which is sort of a bummer. But that's okay!
And yes! My mom and I are going to Liverpool to go on the Magical Mystery Tour!

Well, it's very much a sensory-overload kind of place. You smell flowers and spices and cooking smells, but you also smell things like garbage and animal waste. And sonically, there is always the sound of traffic and car horns, music and people shouting on the streets. India is an extremely populous country, so there are tons of people everywhere- interesting-looking people, from old Sikh men with long white beards and brightly colored turbans to young men with orange-streaked hair to female construction workers in saris. And they all want to talk to you, because you're a foreigner, a guest in their country.
The yin to this glorious yang is going into a temple. You take off your shoes, enter the meditation hall, and suddenly the only sound is the gentle ringing of the temple bell and everything is completely peaceful.
Oh my goodness, your trip sounds like it's going to be so fun, I hope you love it!
I've never been to England, but it's on my list of places to go.

I'm getting a visual here. It sounds really wonderful! It's probably the kind of place you just sort of stop for a moment and take it all in and think, "wow, I'm really here. In an entirely different world from my own."
