ya know when Tesla invented the X-ray Edison wanted to test it on human trials first even though Tesla told him that was a bad idea, Edison ended up killing one of his assistants and nearly made himself blind....EDISON YOU IDIOT!!!

Yes I agree Tesla deserves to be remembered, what I disagree to is the absurd notion that Edison was in any way "amazing" rather than a selfish CEO. He even killed several of his own assistants and a dog all in the name of profit!

The assistants were killed in accidents. He didn't deliberately intend to kill them whatsoever.
As for the animals? Even till now, people do all sorts of horrible things to animals in the name of research. Soooooo...yeah. :×

Tell me why he is so "terrible", as you might put it.
Frankly speaking, he wasn't so bad. He did kill a lot of living things, but he had justified reasons to do so. The guy he killed with AC was a criminal sentenced to death, for example. He was no Stalin! :×

It. Was. A. Freaking. Accident.
Honestly, if you consider Edison to be among the "worst of humanity", you're probably missing out on people like Stalin (self-explanitory), Benedict Arnold (even though I kind of respect this one actually) and Justin Bieber (no really, this creature is goshdarnawful and should just go die in a huge fire).
Sure, Edison was quite the troll I have to admit. However, we remember him today for his positive contributions to society. Not for whatever atrocities he did or were fabricated by propagandists to make him look bad.
So if you're taking an unfortunate accident as sure-fire proof that Edison was a total supervillain, you probably have something wrong with your judgement. :I

If a greedy business man who doesn't care about the lives or well being of others so long as he makes a profit and steals the inventions of other people because he doesn't have the brains or creativity to make anything himself and then claim that he invented things just or the praise and money while indirectly being responsible for the deaths of thousands and trying to keep any threats to his wealth under his fat foot doesn't count as an example as to what is a terrible human being, then he was just peachy.

He started off being unknown and with only decent amounts of money. He also had to work by himself. It was only when he started earning more money when he began hiring workers and buying ideas from other people.
I should also mention that his very first (original!) invention was considered useless and nevet caught on.

Well...would it be better if I put it more like "Edison wasn't unintelligent, talentless walrus"? owo
While many of Edison's patents were actually improvements of ideas he got from other people, he also was one of the key players in revolutionizing society. He also invented the modern research lab. He obviously wasn't a lazy clod like what many Edison-hating Tesla-philes think, he'd spend hours working. He had a lot of success in his life and made lots of money, and success doesn't come to the lazy and uncooperative.

Frankly you're the one with the bad arguement. You choose to blindly stick to your entirely black-and-white world view, that everything in existence is either a demon or a saint. Basically, nothing in this world is completely good or completely bad. Even Hitler had his positive qualities.
I disagree with the way you bend the truth and make up stories to paint Thomas Edison as a total monster. Sure, it's true that he was cruel and harsh at times, but he also could be kind and he had many positive personality traits worth learning from as well. This was a guy who was dedicated to his work and revolutionizing the future, and yet you still view him as someone who can't come up with anything original.
Look, I'm actually more of a Tesla guy myself (LIGHTNING BALLS), but I respect Edison as well. There's no rule in heaven that states I can't like both of them. :V

You speak of me being judmemtal and one sided but you on the other hand are so quick to judge me, do not talk about things of which you know absolutely nothing about because are completely wrong about me and I am very offended that you would make such a crude accusation that I only see the world in black and white or use a very radicalist christian way to describe it in Saints or Demons. That sort of thinking disgusts me, and make me sick, and you sir are making me very sick.
I don't bnd the truth, I reasearch it. I don't think any man is a monster, beasts and monsters are able to be justified like Grendel in the story Beowulf, in his own story later on they retell it from his point of veiw and depict him as a nihilistic philosophical thinker. Like Beowulf, Edison is very human. As Grendel veiwed us, humans kill eachother over rocks (gold).

I said his own quote is is an unreliable source of refferece if you are trying to justify his actions.
Ofcourse he his human, and a great example of what's wrong with humans, we are an incredibly chaotic and complicated species, and even the best of us are flawed. But it's like looking at a piece of art, a very complicated and abstract peice of art.
In Aztec Mythology Quetzalcoatl saw man kind and saw their potential to build and create, his brother Tezcatlipoca only saw the evil in man kind. I agree with Quetzalcoatl, we have potential but he reckognizes we have flaws, his teachings were of humility and generosity.

I mean that quote was supposed to justify him not being a lazy, unmotivated clod like what most of his haters want others to think he is.
Furthermore you used lies to prove your point, even if I think it's valid, telling lies to wreck sb's reputation isn't a nice thing to do. :C

A quote does not prove a person's true intentions, not everyone does as they say, so your quote still means nothing. Benjamin Franklin had lots of good quotes but he was also a hypocrite and wanted to be king.

Yes, but he was not the perfect example of the problem with humanity.
You said he was driven purely by hate and greed. He was not. He was a truly hardworking person who had inspired many others to innovate and create the future. Heck, he wasn't always mean to Tesla either, he even let Tesla use his lab when Tesla's lab burned down. Similarly Tesla respected Edison enough to have his audience give Edison a standing ovation when he noticed Edison at the back of the auditorium while he was giving a speech.
Personally I think the best representation of what is wrong with humanity today is Amanda Todd and her ridiculous army of followers. Looking at the video she posted, she did so many ridiculous, hurtful things, yet refused to confess to them and just create even more hell for herself. And then there are the people who support her and praise her, calling her innocent, inspirational and an angel. Seriously guys, that Amanda Todd is arrogant, ignorant and chose to create problems for herself and others.
Amanda's problematic qualities to me represent human selfishness and egotism while her fan following is supposed to signify how lots of people nowadays tend to jump on bandwagons and basically be blind, dumb sheep that can't think or speak for themselves.

I don't know who this Amanda Todd. And yes I heard about the bit in the auditorium, Edison stood in the back because he didn't want to be noticed, then Tesla pointed him out to the crowd to mess with him.
