Description “Speak with a tongue that claims its kingdom.
Come what may,
The stars came tumbling down.
Worn-out heroes
Stepping into fields of firing grey.
Speech of the deadland,
Let them hear the song is still alive.”

[ Deadland – Theatre of Tragedy ]

The connection between the photo and the song was suggested by the severely rusted train: it really looks like a wreck on a deadland.
Taken in the Railway museum, Trieste.

Magnifique photo. J'aime les positions que vous avez choisis; l'un de vous assis dans l'ouverture de la porte et l'autre qui semble embarquer dans la locomotive rouillé (très bonne idée de lieu de photo également!)

I love the way that rusted train contrasts so much with the outfits. It reminds me of all those vampire novels where these impeccably stylish people just choose the silliest places to live and hang out. The contrast is what makes this image interesting. Again, I think it feeds into a lot of fashion photography. How does your work tie in to the fashion world?

Thank you!
I love the contrast between a stylish model and a crumbling set as well, the feeling of something that should be out of place but somehow just fits in there.

Well, I've been discussing about my work vs the fashion world just yesterday night, and I've come to the conclusion that I work in a totally different way than fashion photography (and in general commercial one). I use my technical skills and the world I see through the lens to try and tell a story or communicate some feelings, while others try to obtain a perfect photo in which they can see their own skills in photograpy, as well as depicting at best the subject (which often isn't even the wearer but the clothes themselves). In my work, the title is a part of the photo itself, while in others' often it doesn't exist at all.

Yeah, I suppose having the title gives the work an identity and artist source that is often taken away from fashion photos.

I would say more about the photograph but I cannot help thinking of something either that I'd love to work with you (as a model) You'd fit some ideas of mine perfectly.

Yes. Unfortunatly, I had to cancel the plans of visiting Italy this year. But if ever what to visit Romania... maybe...

Adoro i colori! E quella ruggine ovunque fa uno splendido contrasto!
