Description The torch is out. Now for the moment everyone has been waiting for: Sir Paul McCartney. The perfect way to close the Olympics.

He and his band run onto the stage, and the crowd cheers, sending an echo ringing throughout the stadium. He waves, making the audience go

He sits at the piano, and starts playing. The chord rings in your ears, and now you know you won't be able to stop smiling for at least an hour.

And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. Ah....

He speaks in the mic.

"How are you all doing?"

The audience cheers in response. The opening and closing ceremonies were both awesome, and there probably couldn't be a better ending to this.

Just as you think the cheering dies down, it comes back to life, louder than ever. You start hearing screams. Paul smiles again and gives a wink, and you giggle. And still the noise continues.

Then you see it.

A hand comes and rest on Paul's shoulder and squeezes it. Paul jumps a bit in his seat and turns around. His eyes widen and his jaw drops, just to be replaced by a grin.

The camera zooms out.

You scream.

John Lennon is standing there, grinning. He's wearing a black jacket over a white shirt, and jeans, and matches Paul a bit. You can see in Paul's face that he didn't know this was coming.

You are stunned into silence, and your mom walks in, and she screams too.

Paul gets up and embraces the older man. Your mom starts crying, then you.

John flicks on a mic clipped to his jacket.

"Hello there, Paul. I was in town and decided to drop by. You don't mind, do you?"

Paul leaned forward so the mic would pick up his voice.

"Don't mind at all, Johnny. How've you been?"

"Well, I was just watching you in that room over there. So there's us, Kinks, Zak with the Who, Pink Floyd, and Brian May, but where's the Stones? I thought they were our arch enemies or something."

"Right? Do you think maybe I should start playing? They might get restless, y'know. Do you guys think that's a good idea?" Paul addressed the audience, and they shouted their agreement.

They sat at the piano, Paul on the right, and John on the left. Immediately they started trying to shove each other off the bench like little kids.

"Alright John," says Paul, "that's enough of the Goon Show. Aren't we gonna play some music, mate?"

"Yeah, but I was promised I could do mine first, then you. You should play along, otherwise you'll just be sittin' there. This is C."

John hit a C chord, and Paul made an 'ooh' noise. Everyone was laughing at the two fooling around.

"You ready then? One, two, three, four."

John started playing Imagine, and everyone was cheering, clapping, or crying.

Imagine there's no Heaven...
It's easy if you try...
No Hell below us....
Above us only sky...
Imagine all the people living for today...."

On the second verse, Paul joined in with John's singing, playing along with him.

The monitors not only showed the two ex-Beatles, but lyrics in multiple languages, and the cheering quickly became a loud choir of voices. Because that's what the song was about: joining the world in the name of peace and love.

When the song ended, the crowd roared again. John moved to the other side of Paul so he could move to the bottom of the bench.

"You know the song, John? It's in F."

"Yeah. Okay, one, two, three....."

Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her into your heart, then you can start to make it better...

Everyone was singing, and when it was time for the "na na's", the two stood up, egging everyone on, and John appeared to be conducting the audience, waving his hand around madly.

John and Paul walked over to a microphone, and John slung an arm around Paul's shoulders, and Paul did the same, swaying slightly to the music.

They sat down at the piano again, sliding their hands across the keys on different ends of the piano.

"Na na na na na na na na na na na..... Hey Jude!"

John threw his arms up in the air dramatically as the song ended, acting silly for the audience as they cheered and roared.

John bumped their shoulders, ruffled his hair, and kissed his cheek.

"Alright, we've been The Sir and The Looney, it's been a wonderful evening, but we have to go."

"Yeah, John's gotta get back to the hotel before Yoko finds that John snuck out after his curfew."

This got a last collective laugh from everyone before Paul spoke again.

"See you guys. You've been wonderful, and peace and love!"

They bowed when the people cheered, and walked off the stage, arms still across the other's shoulders.

The past two weeks had been exciting and competitive, and the world had been united.

There could have been no better ending then having the two biggest legends of music perform the most famous songs of their time.

John, Paul, George, and Ringo's legacy still lives on in the hearts of everyone.
