Totally wish college was kicking my butt right now, but I was able to get something done for 's practice contest :3

Though my Neil might be going for the Knowledge Department (surprised so many people went in there) I stuck with it.

Background: Eddward "Double Dee" was definitely considered the ladies' man among the Ed Boys and that still stuck when the three formed their own company "Gizmos-A-Ed" (a play on the word "A-plenty" lol). Double Dee had quite th representation with dating girls, though he couldn't find the right one. One of those girls happened to be Gazlene "Gaz" Membrane, who happened to enjoy his gadgets and kind nature (despite many thinking it was for the money). They where together for 5 years until they couldn't feel the spark anymore; but on that last year Gaz found out she was pregnant and Neil was born 9 months later. Since it wasn't the 1st time this happened to Double Dee, he paid for the child support as Gaz surprisingly raised Neil on her own, happy to have some part of their past relationship. Neil grew up pretty content with his life usually spending his time alone with a good book and developing a mind that most people in The City didn't have. Gaz felt that The City wasn't cutting it for her son's superior mind, so she moved them to Townsville to allow him to spread his wings. Which he did leading him to be 14 in the 11th grade in Primrose's class.

Personality: Neil has always been intelligent often finding himself reading up on everything just because he connected more with books than with people. He often appears quiet and antisocial to his peers which makes him almost disappear into the background. However, when you do get him to talk you can tell, Neil has definitely inherited all his parents' sass and sarcasm. When you get him to talk he often can sound rude or "too smart for his own good". He often does this with so called bullies who get on his case or someone who won't leave him alone. With friends, he seems to tone it down (or at least tries). Neil also has some anxieties that may stem from his antisocial persona. He often gets super nervous when a lot of people's eyes are on him ad when people look up to him which makes being the Secretary of Knowledge 10x harder; but slowly he's starting to get over it thanks to being in the Vanguard League.

Appearance: Neil has pale skin and violet hair that is done in a spiked bowl cut with the sides off. He wears white tinted glasses that hide his amber eyes from everyone's view. Neil has also inherited his father's gap between his teeth. He's usually styles himself in gothic attire, but his normal outfit he wears is an eggplant wool coat with pale lavender sleeves. Muted brown pants and black combat boots complete the look. There are also three pins on his pocket (one a devil, an bandage, and a circle).

Relationships:
Gaz (Mother): Neil is very close to his mom especially since he was raised by her. They both like the silence and enjoy rainy days to either play a game or talk about subjects. Though Gaz never thought of herself as goth, she does enjoy helping Neil pick out clothing.

Double Dee (Father): Neil doesn't enact with his father much, not because he resents him just because he doesn't like gossip (like how he's finally getting with Nazz or was it Marie?). But he does enjoy that his father knows what books he likes and usually gets them sent on his birthday or when he really needs it.

Hana & Ginger (Half-Sisters): He doesn't know how but these two girls were able to track him down. The two met from a music audition (Ginger plays cello and Hana plays violin and guitar) and wanted to meet the other child of their father to become closer. Ginger loves to hug on and baby hum almost to the point he just accepts it while Hana just pushes him out of the house to be a human being. He wishes he could say he can't stand them, but honestly he kind of likes having sisters checking up on him...but in small doses.

Dib (Uncle): He hates that some people think he's like his crazy uncle or looks like him; so he's often ignores or threats him like his mom does.

Primrose: Neil enjoys teasing her and often likes to rebel against her leadership ideas. However, when she does out smart him or catches him off guard he will respect her wishes. He seems to also like calling her "Miss Rose" which he's not sure if it's just to tease or a term of endearment.

Juniper: He finds her go with the flow nature very calming and often just reads in her area if the Vanguard League is too much to handle or needs a quiet space. Neil also seems to talk more when she's around which makes him think of her as a friend.

Blake: Though Neil doesn't often talk to Blake, he often looked up to him for going against the status quo like himself. He doesn't feel jealous that Primrose probably wanted him to be the leader of the knowledge department, but he does feel like he has big shoes to fill which only heighten his anxiety. Neil also wishes he could have become friends with him before he went "missing".

"The more you stare the more people will think you're angry." Juniper said while taking a bite out of her sandwich.

"Technically I am angry." Primrose said staring at the table a few ways down. At that table sat Neil calmly reading a book and finishing off an apple. "We need a leader for our departments and he could be one of them if he would just stop being so passive aggressive!"

"Sounds like someone I know." Juniper smiled a little as Primrose blushed out of embarrassment.

"I'm going to try again." She huffed while making her way to his table causing Neil to look up. "Join the the Vanguard League, I need members and leaders and you fit the bill, Neil."

"Hello Miss Rose, it's good to see you too." Neil stared clearly not impressed with her introduction, but he could see that it irritated her.

"Neil."

"Miss Rose." Neil countered back then returned to looking at his book. "Don't think I want to join, just because you seem to think I fit into that mold. Very closed minded of you."

"I..." She didn't know what to say to that.

"Ah looks like closed minds finally comes with closed mouths. Good day Miss Rose, hope you find members."

"Grr ugh! Not done with you yet." Primrose said while heading back to her table.

"Didn't go well?"

"He's a sarcastic asshole and I dislike he made my statement seem bad."

Juniper sighed while getting up and making her way to Neil's table. "Neil, right?"

"Right, Juniper, correct?" Neil asked looking up hoping the conversation would end fast; his book was getting interesting.

"Mhm." Juniper hummed while soon the two fell into silence. It wasn't really awkward per say, but Neil knew something might be up. "You always seat alone?"

"Unsurprisingly yes, most would chalk that up to my winning personality." Neil said while shrugging it off pretty used to this.

"Seems like someone else I know." Juniper said while sitting in front of him which did surprise him. "Look don't know what you two said don't really need to know, but it would be nice if you joined. We haven't had much luck after Blake's disappearance and Prim is taking it hard. However, I think it's a step up she's trying to turn this around by asking you."

"...I see." Neil said while thinking it over remembering how everyone was worried about Blake and how Primrose seemed to put even more focus on this League team afterward. "I supposed if it helps I'll join."

"Good to have you." Juniper said while getting herself up.

"Juniper, you got a way with words." Neil smiled then returned to finishing his book.

"I guess." Juniper shrugged off while going back to her table. "He's going to join."

"Juniper you are a lifesaver, you know that?" Primrose smiled happy to have something work out.

"I guess." Juniper said while going back to eating her lunch.
