Won 1st place in the Lee County fair Art show in the pastel/colored pencil division.About 7 hours on 15" by 20" paper.

Although I think the face may be a little bit too long...
It's very close to looking the same.

The coloring especially is very authentic! The face may be a teeny bit longer, but not enough to make it look off, in my opinion

I think it's great. The colours are great and like on the original photograph. It is very smooth and the brilliance on the left side of the hair is very well done. I don't know, but maybe the face is a bit too longish (?) But it's a beautiful painting anyway

Very nicely done! I love the coloring and effects of her face, the feeling you get. I'm wondering abouther hairstyle though.
The only thing I can say is that there's a very very very slight difference in the eye shape, although it's still great!

The top of the head, one side looks different than the other. Of course that doesn't have to be a mistake but just the hairstyle.

well, the top of the head isn't shown in the cover art.
So I don't know what it looks like.
It just happened to work out that the paper I was using was too big and I couldn't cover up the top of the head.
so I improvised, haha.
if you can find me a picture with the top of the head showing, I'd me more than glad to change it in my drawing.

I totally agree.
I mean, the Open Door was a good album, it had it's ups and downs and I think there were some positive changes that would have been nice to see in Fallen.
(such as a stronger use of the choir and orchestra)
but without Ben Moody, it wasn't the same Evanescence.
I just hope they'll make a comeback soon, even though it'll be only Amy since they're all broken up.
However, I haven't heard any news of a new album in 2009....it's been 3 years already since their last release. I'm kind of afraid they'll die. D:

but it was just the county fair.
Not like the state fair.
Which I WOULD have submitted my art in, because it starts October the 16th.
But registry has been close since september the 24th! (I checked last week)
I was so disappointed!
I thought that wasn't right at all.
I could have gotten a lot more money (and publicity -if- I would have won) from the state fair.

it hasn't happened yet!
the woman who wanted it hasn't gotten back to me about the exchange, and i'm worried it'll never happen.
When I wrote that I had sold it, I was supposed to get the money the next day, but I guess I forgot to remove that from the deviation description!
