Description Art's Lair, a yearling I prepped in 2006, got the stable nickname "Cyclops" because of his "googly eye" (the one with the whites showing). he was a very sweet little colt.

haha, you can cover half his face at a time, and he goes from calm, to shocked! teehee.

very cute. one of our 2YO fillies had both eyes that were like that. she was nice as could be, she just always kind of looked... startled. i'm actually going to go see her run tomorrow, since she's in the same night as our 3YO. she got claimed a couple years ago, and i haven't seen her since, so it will be fun. I always like to keep track of the little ones i've worked with once they're all grownup and become "real" racehorses!

it's so funny how their eyes affect their expressions like that.

What an interesting name. He looks likes a cutie. nice shot of him too!

Hey I got to RIDE yesterday. We're in Utah house shopping so my mom's friend took us out. It was great. You'd love the horses there, especially Zorro. x3 He reminds me of Ozzy cause of how mischievious he is.

aw that's awesome! congrats on the ride.

and speaking of Oz... that goofball has figured out how to play dead. when i cinch him up he collapses in the crossties, groans, and rolls his eyes back. once you get the saddle all the way on he acts normal though. ugh.

It was wonderful.

Really? What a silly goose! ^^ I imagine it might get annoyed...maybe. Or just laugh and try and figure out how to get him up. How DO you get him up. That sounds so much like him! Have you gotten any more shots of him latley?

Zorro is a silly guy too. He's a three year old pitch black that has a gate that's insanely smooth, like the horse I mentioned in my journal. He's still in training of course but he's in the same corral as Silver and the others we rode. He tried to sneak out and I had to catch him, silly boy and he's so curious! He was lipping at my shoes, at my mom's cell phone, at everything! But he's gorgeous and funny. I can't wait until we get out there...I'd like to help with the rest of his training and get to ride him when he's done. He sounds like he'll be a great horse and he sure looks beautiful.

Zorro sounds like quite a character!

There are two ways of getting Oz up... either take the saddle off (you lose, he wins) or yell at him/smack him. Yesterday he tried to do it again. Bryce got the whip out and showed it to him. Ozzy was like "O, crap, better behave..." and stood at attention while I tacked up. We'll have to break him of that habit. LOL.

And yes, I have a few more recent pictures:

How long did it take for you to find ways to get him up? I think I would've been trying for a while. Yeah, you better behave, Oz.

Aw, I love them! He's adorable....he really is! I love the second shot of him, and the first one too! x3 How nice!

But he is very adorable, you have to admit
