Description
Before we begin, this, my friends, is NOT MewTwo from Pokemon. Nope, not even a little. Hell, I didn't even think it resembled him in the slightist until someone pointed it out. *shakes fist*Educate yourself, foolish ugly Earth People. This is Giegue, an evil alien, destined to become the Universal Cosmic Destroyer known as Giygas.
He cannot be defeated by any weapon, any psychic power, any conventional means. He is, in essense, undefeatable... Except by music. haha
Anywho, a day or so ago, I decided that I needed to do some Mother 1 (Earthbound 0) art, since I really haven't done any. Giegue seemed like a good choice, and so I sketched out a few things. I liked this idea so much, I ran with it.
Whipped up the initial line drawing with my tablet, which I'm finally getting the feel for. Did some shading, then used a digital watercolour brush to get the background all... watery and awesome.
I'm very proud of this thing, actually. Sure, it's in black and white and some people skip over stuff like that, but I think it's one of my best works. Since I'm finally getting the essential hang of using the tablet properly, I'll be able to make drawings look a little more natural than they used to on the PC.
Any comments on stuff you see is wrong would be welcome. And so is praise and awe.
But remember children: This isn't MewTwo. Call him that and I will cry

While I applaud your dedication to this character and I am aware that Giegue was introduced first, what do you think of the theory that Mewtwo was based on Giegue? And that possibly the new world that Lucas wished for at the end of Mother 3 turned out to be the Pokemon world?

This is the best picture of Giegue I've ever seen. People realy should see pictures like that before drawing gender-confuing gay-behaving things with huge swirly ears and naming them "Giegue".

It makes me so happy to see people drawing Giegue as a threatenting-looking, semi-realistic, badass alien, rather than all of the moe trash you see everywhere. This looks amazing. I believe this will destroy reality.
However, one thing I didn't notice at first is his lack of anything below the ankle, ending in cables and ports. That shit takes this up a level of creepy. Beautiful!

Earthbound/Mother really lacks alot in terms of Official art, and it drives the fans mad enough to make massive amounts of fan art. it really stimulates the artists imagination, since the original version is really pixlated, and thats why i never get tired of looking at Mother1/2/3 fan art, because its how each person looks at the original version differently in their own mind. i also like that the fans refuse to let this legendary game die, hell some people are trying to make a Mother 4, made by fans, for the fans (game mods are in a different class than making a NEW game IMO), and if the fans are truley willing to continue the series like that, then that should tell you the true strength of its Fandom.. no NOT Fandom..FANPIRE!
anyway back to the topic, this is a great piece 
most of the time giegue is portrayed as a male, but ive seen female versions that arent so bad either! usually its for hentai purposes.. but then again THOSE arent so bad either! i guess i wouldn't be able to see any fan art without fans~

Really creepy... but anyways hes a lot more muscular then he was in the sprite. WHERE'D THE TUBES COME FROM???? i thought the whole reason he was in tht capsule was because he was to slender and feeble to survive any physical attacks without constantly having a PK Shield up. Making him all muscular, in my opinion, kinda defeats the purpose of him being in tht capsule. I do have to admit tht it IS (WAAAAY) better than those feminine teal giegue's but it's not rly as good as the other picture of giegue i saw on here

Also side note people, its hard for MewTwo to be a Giegue/Giygas rip off when they're made by the same creators. More like, MewTwo was inspired by Giygas because once Pokemon came out, kids would have never been able to learn about their best character Giygas from their Mother series.

It's refreshing to see Giegue portrayed in a non-gender-bent/bishounen manner, for once. Looking at the angular, wiry creature that's been ruthlessly wielded to a cybernetic inteface, I have no trouble believing that he's come to try and eradicate our race--or that he would eventually be driven to become the Universal Cosmic Destroyer from Earthbound.
Nicely done, man. I especially like the use of pencils in this pic--creating such natural effects such as shading, blurs, and "shines" in such a monochromatic medium is nothing to sneeze at. It shows your skill as an artist.

I kid, I kid. They do look alike, but I think that's because the people who designed Mewtwo also Designed Giegue, Or vice versa.
Eitherway, this is excellent, and I'm envious of your tablet skill here, I've yet to master that and I know how tricky it is. But this came out spactacular and really gives me an otherworldly angsty feel.

Giegue and Mewtwo were sketched up and designed by the same people. Mewtwo was loosely based off of Giegue.
The same applies for a few other pokemon and Mother games.
