Aww yeah! I haven't sewn for a while, it felt so good!I've decided to randomly make a couple of pokémon plushies, to test my skills with different kinds of bodybuilds, and to get my groove back on!
Excadrill, that amazing mole. Strontium suggested I'd make one, since there is no official Excadrill plushies around! That's pretty outrageous, there should be! B<
I tried something new with this little guy - jointed legs. The legs contain some safety eyes, so they can rotate around!
This plushie stands about 24 cm / 9,5 inches tall when it sits on its butt. It can't really stand because it's too top heavy.
Made from fleece, felt, [hidden] safety eyes and foam, some details done with markers.

I think in the anime Excadrill was about tall enough to touch Iris's kneew with his nose.

I think Excadrill seemed taller in the anime..? The anime can be a bit wonky with heights sometimes so I'd prefer to trust the height stated in the Pokedex, but sometimes the Pokemon have pretty funny heights 8<

I see good that was hard one? I always wondered how to make its "helmet" and claws, especially spikes on them...

It was a lot easier than I thought, really. Especially the spikes, they're just little triangles.

Do you have a sewing machine? If not I encourage you get one at IKEA, they got a nice sewing machine (that allows embroidery of sorts) and at a good price; the embroidery would help to give the eyes better definition as well as to his body markings.

You should see if it can do embroidery... and I'm sure you could sew without one!

It can sew some sort of mystical stitches but not really embroidery. Besides, it wouldn't help with the markings anyway, since I always put them on after the whole plushie's sewn so I can put them in the right places; I do agree embroided eyes would be pretty, though.

Okay, I constructed a box for Excadrill today, and checked the mail company's website, shipping it would be 10 euros, so the total cost would be 35 euros, which would be 46 USD.
