EDIT - I reworked the flame! Looks a bit more fiery now."Death Bearer."
I suddenly had an urge to draw this guy again. I have been thinking about him a lot lately and haven't properly drawn him for years, so it was about time, even if it's just a bust.
If you're unfamiliar with him, this guy is Joutsen/Swan, the god of peaceful death in a world I currently call "Godrealm". He's a pretty cool guy.
I still haven't decided if I should translate these charas' names or not so you probably se me calling him both Swan and Joutsen back and forth.
I've changed his design a bit, giving him more bony spikes and trying to get rid of all the clearly Christian symbols he was sporting, so I removed the crosses and gave him an old rope around his neck. I don't know if the... Flame he has going on above his forehead here is just for show in this picture or something I'd actually want to incorporate in his design. I might change his anatomy a bit too to go with the more chimeric feeling of the other Godrealm gods. (Though I've never properly drawn them either so you wouldn't know they are chimeric. Ugh. THIS IS A SETTING I'D WANT A LOT MORE TIME TO WORK ON BUT I DON'T HAVE THAT TIME RIGHT NOW.)
Um, anyway, about the picture, it's nothing super cool, mostly my excuse to draw Swan, and bones and fluffiness. This was a surprisingly quick piece to work on. Not much to say about it expect that I had a blast drawing this guy again. I should try to take some time to work on this setting more... I have a lot of ideas.
Micron liners, Copic markers, white gel pen on Fabriano Tecnico paper. The original is A3 sized.

Oh man! It's good to see this guy again 8D I like the change for the rope and the flame could be a nice touch to the design maybe, haha, guess you need to think on it and stuff. But yes this is a lovely piece =w=

True since out of all the gods, those two are the closest to being "brothers" since they are the split halves of an ancient death god. I have to think about it! Floating balls of flame are cool, after all!

Yeah I guess the flame could look a bit more..fire-y with a brighter/more luminous centre? It's a bit hard to tell that it's fire right now x:

Skull heads are the coolest.
Yeah, I agree. I realized halfway through that I'd messed it up, but I'm not sure how to retouch it since it's made with copics. (Fixing it digitally would feel like "cheating" in my mind even if it's not.) I might retouch it at some point with acrylics or something.
I have too many worlds and ideas and not enough time to work on all of them. ;w; Maybe next year, after I've drawn some refs for the first few months, I could do like... "This month I'm going to work on this setting"-projects? If I'd have enough comic buffer done, of course.
