I can't be bothered with cumbersome backgrounds anymore; backgrounds are for people who actually have watchers. Anyway, this is another character from my series, Princess Nephisis. Her people are currently fighting a war with a Naga tribe and a race of large, sentient cobras. Willy and his friends get caught in the middle of this mess while trying to recover an item essential to their quest. She would usually be dressed in something more elaborate than this, but I really just wanted to focus mostly on her body without having to deal with a lot of clothing.Princess Nephisis is © David Stapley

And you gave her a really detailed spear. Did you base it off of anything?

Yay! I think this is my first character to be inducted into your hall of Bossanova Original Creations.
I haven't really yet developed her personality yet, but she seems like she would be a very arrogant individual. Though, she is still a good person.
The spear was actually just the result of me drawing the blade two different ways, then combining them to make it look more complex.

Heh, maybe her and Srgala? I don't know why it usually always comes down to one of my characters and Srgala, though; maybe it's because most of them are anthropomorphic. I would have also suggested one of Hieros and Doodles, but that idea has already been done.

you know, i feel exactly the same as you do. why bother with backgrounds if nobody cares? the only difference between you and me is that YOU can accuratey draw human/anthro anatomy, wile i am limited to half ass anthros and robots (i pride myself on my robots)

I'm jealous of your smooth grayscale shading. All of it: her, the weapon, her clothes. Love it.
Love the attention to her musculature, too; snake creature derivatives should be every bit as sleek and strong as their RL counterparts and I think you succeeded in that department.

Thank you. Coming from someone who draws Nagas as awesomely as you do, I'm quite pleased. Because I don't finish pictures quickly enough, I'm thinking about doing more of these types of pencil shaded works. So, I'm glad you think this came out okay in that regard. I guess I could always do some pencil shaded backgrounds as well.
