I felt like doing a pick of Hook and his brother, Jasper (a.k.a. Captain Patch) when they were younger... back before they hated each other's guts. They seemed like they got along really well before they started fighting, and I'm sure they rough housed like this a lot. I'll probably color this at some point.Characters belong to Fox

Thanks! Yeah, my laptop's completely shot, but my dad's letting me use his. I may not get my own for a few years since whenever I (hopefully) go to Full Sail, an Apple laptop is required for every student.

is a wacom * i think thats how you spell it* is that what some people use to draw on thier computers? is that what they mean by a wacom tablet?

Yeah, some people use a Wacom. I have a tablet, but it's Adesso instead of Wacom since it's much cheaper. It's much easier than drawing with a mouse, but it still takes getting used to. I still have to zoom in really far whenever I do lineart without using the pen tool to get it to look smooth. But it definitly helps with coloring and shading.

I just searched around on the internet for the cheapest one. The one I have is the Adesso CyberTablet 12000, which you should be able to get for a little over $100 (a good deal compared to the Wacom equivalent to that, which I saw for around $450). The one I have is 9X12, but you can get smaller ones for cheaper than that, though they may be harder to operate, I'm not sure.

Eh, if your grades are alright, you should be able to get in no problem. I'm hoping I'll end up able to scrap up the cash needed to go to Full Sail when the time comes. I'm actually more worried about the cost than actually being accepted. I'll probably have to put together some kind of portfolio to send in to them, too.

Right now I'm at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I'll (hopefully) graduate from there in a couple of years, then I hope to go to Full Sail, an art and film school near Orlando, for an animation degree. I'll get to do a little animation at UTC, but I'll need more experience to do it professionally, I think.

There are five episodes on youtube. Just type in "peter pan and the pirates" in quotation marks and you should find them. None of them have his brother in it, though.
He shows up first as a ghost in an episode called "The Rake" (the Rake is the name of Jasper's ship) and in "Hook's Christmas" in a flashback and later as a ghost again. They get along really well until one day Hook decides he should get a bigger share of gold than the other members of the crew since he's the captain's brother and after fighting about it, he cuts out Jasper's eye. (he later says it was an accident, but we don't know for sure) Jasper afterwards becomes Captain Patch.

Yes, I'm sure it's some kind of reference to that. Hook's betrayal of him didn't turn him into the world's nicest guy.
And I'm not sure. Maybe he meant that he lost control of himself in his rage, or maybe he just meant to give him a nasty cut but not permanently injure him.
