I've been listening to this almost non stop since I got home from work 12 hours ago:

I am still having trouble getting over this. But I don't really want to depress everyone, so moving on.

I finally got the ending newspaper, so I was able to test it for myself. And sure enough, Springtrap is very easily found. In fact, the "photo" is focused on him, and NOT the Freddy toy. So that much is confirmed.

Then, I took the liberty to completely recreate the rest of the poster as identically as possible, but without blurring out the text. I am 99.9% sure that I read everything correctly. Since I used the same font, I was able to line up my text exactly with the old text to verify. Then, I wiped the background and created my own, so that the new text would become clear.

Please, don't steal or re-upload this. It took me hours to do. Just link back to here if you want to share.

I want to discuss each bit of text, starting with the middle left.

"Before I began work on FNaF, I had to choose what game to make out of three potential games. Knowing that it might be my last try before having to start a new career, I was choosing between a sequel to The Desolate Hope, a remake of my first game, Legacy of Flan, or a new idea about animatronics and security cameras."

Well, I'm sure we're all happy about what idea he picked. From what I've seen of his games, "The Desolate Hope" was his first in 2012. He put out a TON of games in 2014 before FNAF.

Clearly, his previous games were not doing well enough to support him for the rest of his life, hence the need to change career paths.

For those who don't know what he looks like, this is his picture:

He's not old... he's not at a retiring age.

But, at least we know that he doesn't have to change career paths now

Moving up to the next quote....

"Looking back on many of my old games, I've found that there is almost always a broken-down robot in them. I'm not sure why this seems to be such a recurring theme in my games, but it's obvious that it's something haunting me."

That to me says that Scott's future games are going to have more robots in them, whether it's FNAF or not. Something that haunts a person comes out in their work. Their output is their way of dealing with inner struggle. Whatever he does next, I'm sure it will be good

Moving to the bottom left...

"While working on the first game, I started a crowdfunding campaign for it. I raised exactly zero dollars."

I guess everyone has to start somewhere. But again, I hope he's doing OK now (and shame on those who pirated FNAF). Not much to say about that lol.

Moving right....

"In the original game, Freddy was never originally meant to move around the diner and was only meant to "get you" if your time ran out. This was changed before release."

Interesting tidbit

Shooting up to the top...

"Fun Fact: The names Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy were just nicknames while I worked on the characters. I was planning on giving them official names later but had grown very fond of them by the time the game was done"

Nice to know that Scott is as fond of the original characters as much as we are I'm really glad he kept the names like this.

Top right corner...

"In real life I tend to have waking nightmares, meaning that I walk in my sleep, etc. One night I dreamt that Bonnie was in the hall outside my door, as I jumped out of bed and rushed to hold the door shut, I discovered that the door was locked and it filled me with dread. In FNAF 1, when the doors don't work, it means something is already in your office! So when I felt that the door was locked, I felt like Bonnie was in my bedroom and was about to get me! Thankfully, I woke up."

Again, having nightmares like these often is going to inspire your video games. Interesting to finally hear about the Bonnie nightmare.

Finally, moving down...

"I actually modeled the Foxy character on my laptop while riding on a 14hr drive to visit my in-laws over the summer of 2014. It's very difficult to model a 3D character on a bumpy car ride. Maybe this is why Foxy looks so torn up!

While we were there visiting, my kids got to experience Foxy's jumpscare for the first time!"

Another interesting tidbit.

Man though, actually reading all of this stuff, feels like Scott is finally ready to release his secrets and be real. It's like he has nothing left to hide... nothing to hold onto anymore. Nothing left for the future.

I'm still torn about what the future holds, but we need to be patient. Enjoy Five Nights at Freddy's 3, because it's an awesome game. I don't know about you, but now I want to go back and play the earlier two games after I'm done with 3.
