Asura saying "I AM YOUR SIBLING! DO YOU NOT SEE THE SIMILARITIES?!"
Kid: "No..."
Asura: ~SHMACK~ "There. You have another eye, NOW DO YOU SEE?!" (Don't ask about the chicken)

It really was. I was kinda hoping that Kid would become insane from that.

i don' think that was our great Kishins intentions, i don't think he knew who Kid was at that point.

The great Kishin hasn't been able to see for 800 years, and his skin wasn't on right when he did that. At least, that's what I think. He probably didn't know that Death had another son until much later.

yes exactly, he may of been able to see a bit (i believe there was a scene from his perspective where he saw Eruka, that frog witch). but how the hell is he supposed to know that that is his brother, to him it is just a kid running up to him attacking.

There was a scene that we saw from the great Kishin's eyes. And yeah, I think you're right.

yes, our wonderful Great Kishin.
well how would he? when did he get any hints about who kis is, he just woke up. if i never saw my brother or even knew i had one i wouldn't think he was mine.

I thought about that myself. I think Arachne may have told him about powerful DWMA members, he realized it when Kid used the Lines of Sanzu, or when he fought Death, he could have noticed that his soul wasn't as whole as it used to be. I'm going more with one or two over three.

well that, and that Kid did shout out "dad" during the fight, then Asura turned his attention to him. i think that May have something to do with it, maybe.

kay! good luck. when ever i see that, i don't look at the fight, my eyes may be on it but i am really analyzing every word that the Great Kishin Asura says. of course i do pick up a bit from it.

The majority of society lives in ignorance. They don't think very much and accept things at face value. In other words, if they're told 'madness is bad', they're gonna believe it.

I'm afraid that's true. If only people could learn to look underneath instead of the first, and sometimes second, layers.

DragoonDraconian In reply to GodofGreed18 [2014-07-29 13:45:02 +0000 UTC]
yes, even as a kid i often did that. sometimes i didn't want to, but i still always kept my mind open to other possibilities. people have many layers, more then two. i go by now "look for the intentions, no the actions" people can man well, but the action they take for it may not be the best. Asura meant to remove all fear, but perhaps forcing the world into madness was not the best option.

Same. When I was younger, my teacher was telling us about the creation of America. She asked a question (I think it was something about the distance between Great Britain and America, and if it was fair to be under the control of a government so far away), I was surprised when she said that the reason we broke away was due to the distance. I didm't believe it then, and I know it's not true now. I know that people have many layers, some more than others. Most people don't see my second layer, most people don't even take the time. It's better to look for the reasons than what happens.

i don't see how your example is exactly relevant. but yes, and i wish much more people would take a closer look at others, i always try to find out why someone is being a jerk. we recently learned (this is an aboriginal teaching) that when ever someone hurts, it is because they are hurting them selves and it is a plea for help. i may have said that before

Yeah...looking back, I can see it's not the best example. I was trying to say my teacher gave a very watered down version of what happened and the wrong reason, and the class believed her. I like your philosophy, I try to follow that way of thinking, but it's not always true. Some people act like jerks just because they can.

okay, it is okay i just had a bit if trouble seeing it relevance, it makes more sense now. yeah, but this is from an elder and for him at-least, it was always true. when he saw jerks, they acted like that because something happened, something in his past bothered them and thus they acted like that. children are innocent, but what they are exposed to as well as their ancestors can affect them.it is just a first nation (or indian if you like) philosophy, and i like it. unfortunately, i am not healed myself, so i can't help them.

yeah, one of the reasons it is important to take such care of children and to not abuse them, i realized that i am going on about traditions and beliefs you don't care about. sorry, i just learned in the past few weeks about my heritage, so i am kind of eager to share it, also happy that it has allot in common with what i had taught myself.
