i always think it's great seeing sketchwork, and yours is always amazing. do you usually have to do thumbnails before coming up with a sketch, or do you just dive right in?

depends on my mood. A lot of times, I'll do the rough and then take it to the lightboard to do clean up. For whole pieces, I'll do a thumbnail (really rough) to layout my composition.

I love Wolfwood! He's one of my favorite anime characters. I like the finished product, but I also like the sketchiness and lightness of this piece. Nicely done! Also, I must say...the expression is perfect!

The finished piece is interesting...but I have to admit I like the lighter tone of this one a little better....
