The king goes gone mad from dark arts and has started war with the surrounding countries, to which Thorn has resolved to end this war.

Because of this, Thorn shares the same goal (stopping his father's warpath) with Prince Vic and the rest of his party, but Thorn is sort of a neutral party to them,,
