Description
This is the third image that I'm submitting that I took of my local pond on friday 16th Sept 2006.
This was shot using my Canon 5D and my Tamron 17-35mm lens. I used a Lee 2 stop ND Grad filter to balance the light between the sky and the reflection and an additional 1 stop ND Grad to bance the light between the sky, reflection and the forground. I also used a Lee Coral 4 and a Lee Pale Pink grad filters to add some toning to the image.
I used ISO 50 (low slowest speed that my camera will allow) to reduce the amount of light. I wanted the water to record as a smooth sheet with no ripples of movement so that it would reflect the sky in a pleasing manner. There were 2 ducks sitting on the water and one of them didn't move much as has recorded quite clearly.
