Cool. I'm always trying to do things like this, and if I had taken this one I'd be proud to display it. How did you get the colors?

I'm happy you like this! My goal was to separate the conducting wires look as if they are away from the crystalline silicon, in order to make the silicon look like rocks underneath the wires. In order to get the red-ish colour, I pushed yellow colours towards red and over-saturated them, adding sharpness, in order to make the wires look as if they are closer than they are. The rest was more or less casual techniques.
