I'll admit I was exaggerating a little. I was just annoyed by the comments "... looking for a free drink?" and "Reminds me of some of the female co-workers I've had in the past who would celebrate the end of the work week by getting drunk, acting like complete fools." People are just so judgmental of women's behavior sometimes that I get defensive too quickly.

People are pretty judgemental regardless of gender, the quote above is not an attack on womens behavior or anything of the sort, it's a piece of one persons subjective experience.
Humans are emotional beings and therefore we tend act emotionaly rather than rationaly regarding subjects that are personal to us, or that we deem of great value. But please, keep yourself cool.
