I wonder at the attention you would receive if you were motivated to dress and make yourself up into the librarian mode (metaphor). Of course, your environment may not support this style but then changing your environment may be the most stylish thing you could do. You have been gifted with thoughtful beauty; what you do with it is up to you.
I saw symmetrical sleeves at a NIN concert last year and they looked great - tribal speaks more to a design aesthetic.
