Description
hello all! peaseblossoms here!
as i'm sure you know, napowrimo starts in a little under a week (6 days, to be exact!!), and i'm sure i'm not the only one breathlessly waiting for it! i've heard from several members of the dA lit community that gliitchmonth has become an anticipated tradition of sorts during napowrimo, and i know many people (myself included) are looking forward to what this year will bring. welcome, everyone!
in order to get the ball rolling (admittedly a little later than usual, but rolling nevertheless), i have a few questions for you all:
during our first year (2015) the group put out a single list of prompts with one prompt for each day that everyone followed unanimously, while last year (2016) we generated a giant bank of themes in the comments and then encouraged everyone to create their own list from the themes provided to follow individually or with a small group of friends, etc. therefore, my first question is: how would you prefer the gliitchlist to be organized this year? make-your-own using a theme bank, or a single list for everyone to follow as a group?
my second question is more of a command request than an actual question: we need theme ideas!!! give us theme ideas!!!
and third: what else, if anything, would you like to see from gliitchmonth this napowrimo? contests, features, challenges? maybe even keeping the group casually rolling after napo ends (with hibernation themes, if you will?) anything is fair game!! (also if anyone would like to become an admin definitely let us know!)
the official gliitchlist should be up on the front page in a few days, so until then please feel free to suggest as many themes as you would like! you are also highly encouraged to take a look at the amazing work that has been produced in years past (i couldn't figure out how to organize it chronologically but i tried my best :'P)
much love to you all, and happy suggesting! β₯

I'm open to either approach as far as prompts go. Tbh, I don't always follow them, or I adapt them anyway. If I have a poem burning in my chest, I tend to write that and ignore the prompts. If I need to generate ideas i turn to the prompts.Β
There is nothing wrong with keeping the group active during the off-season, but it is kind of a time commitment, so I'd recommend that you consider your own availability in the equation.Β I don't submit to most of my groups, because of the crazy in my life, but I'm okay with either approach to the group. I'm starting to submit elsewhereΒ so there are things that I don't put on DA.

i can definitely see / respect that!! a lot of people (myself included) kinda do the same thing with mashing / adapting themes or completely disregarding them if there's something else you want to write so you're definitely welcome to do that if you'd like!!
i agree with you haha :"D i don't think i have the time to be running the group during the off season just because of how ridiculously busy i am offline, so if enough people want to see it happen we can probably find some admins to be responsible for the group during the hibernation!! thanks so much for your input :"D

This is the quickest that you've ever responded to a comment in the entire history of our association.
I mean that in the kindest and most supportive of ways. lol. It's perfectly okay to me if you don't respond to things for any or no reason. I post a lot of comments on a lot of pages so I would never feel neglected if people don't respond to them. Of course, I always like to hear from people, so you're quite welcome even if it takes a while.
