(Alternate Title: Attempting Many different Shades of Blue without Screwing Up
)X3 This is a pic I've been working on for like...a month and I'm too lazy to add anything else to it
Started out as a doodle in my math notebook
My attempt on trying a different style of shading while dealing with many...blues
Well....besides messing up on the light source, I like how it came out^^
Glacie looks awesome here
The snowflake was an image I found...somewhere if I could find it again

Never had the chance to comment on this amazing piece of artwork of yours before, but finally, I'm here! *shot painfully*
*ahem* Anyhow, a doodle that started in math, now a outstanding drawing that literally makes me speechless. 
Of course, I love how Glacie looks badass here! ((Though she always looks badass.
Plus, now, I can finally draw Glacie with her new look.

That's because I hate being stuck in classes I don't care about. Like US history. We've taken that damn class at least twice in the past five years. And any math higher than Algebra I just stopped caring, Mr. G even said we won't ever use the class unless we're an engineer major. English I don't mind, because we'll always have to write something in the future.

I think you've really succeeded on your shading as well, it looks really nice, especially with all the different hues. However, I would say, as you seem to have noted yourself, that the light source is quite confused or contradicting, in that you can't tell if there is a definitive light source or if there are several. I've found its often quite helpful to draw/sketch out where you are going to have the light source positioned and what direction/strength its coming through at. But you're nearly there! ^^
Also, the only thing that does look a little awkward, is just that her hair seems a bit rigid for the pose she is in and throws out the momentum of the rest of her body, maybe a little the same with the tail.
But those are very very minor things!
I can see how dramatically improved you've gotten!

I learned the different hue shading strategy while painting with acrylics
Although you are right. I definetly need to work on my shading. I drew a light source, but I had a bit of trouble
And yes...the hair>.> I had a lot of problem with that. In my original sketch, hr hair was blowing against some imaginary wind, but I changed it

well, light sources are a pain in the arse xD
thats why recently I've been working on them more specifically x3
A lot of people have said sculpting really helps with light sources...maybe I should try.... x3
hair is also a pain haha x3
but nobody is perfect! god knows I've got shitloads of practising to do ;_;
but thats what art is all about!

It does! You need to try it! I study statues all the time when I go on runs. I like seeing where the light hits.
I know, practice is the only way to go!
