And this one will be my Halloween pic I guess
Long ago, I don't remember when, I've commissioned the wonderful a sketch of my spider Pooka, Ariah.
She did an awesome job on my little mischevious sexy lady and gave me the autorisation to try to color it.

This one was a really great fun to color and I really hope I did justice to the original line... I hesitated a lot before start the colors on this one. It's always really impressive to start to color someone's else art, especially when you're in awe in front of his talent.
But it's certainly a great great fun !!! ^_________^
Ariah is also from the In Vitro chronicle, but just like 4 years ago I can't say much about her without telling spoils so.... Chhhhhhh

I must say, spiders aren't my favorite, but she looks pretty cool. I like the fact that you gave her 8 eyes, it's a neat touch that I didn't catch on that older pic.

Quand tu avais dit sur tumblr que c'était ton deuxième cadeau de toi à toi, je pensais que tu étais partie sur la colo de l'Evan de Lone-hunter. J'avais complètement zappé que tu avais Ariah sous la patte depuis bien plus longtemps, je suis contente de voir enfin ce que t'avais fait Nephyla comme com! Elle est juste trop belle et tes couleurs le sont tout autant! >w<~

Oui oui ça aurait pu être Evan.... Je pense que je ne tarderai pas trop à le colorier celui la, même si je suis encore à la recherche d'une compo qui fonctionne vu qu'il est en cercle ^ ^;;
J'y réfléchis, j'espère ne pas mettre un an à trouver cette fois XD (comment j'ai trop hâte de voir Tany sous son crayon !!!)

Le line de Nephyla est vraiment superbe. Je me souviens avoir été très surprise au début en le découvrant, car Ariah a les cheveux longs mais très raides. Mais elle était tellement mignonne comme ça, et elle est suffisamment coquette pour faire l'expérience des boucles pour une soirée ^___^
C'était un vrai plaisir à colorier, mais elle aussi elle a attendu longtemps dans mes fichiers que je trouve le bon contexte de décors XD
Ah oui maintenant que tu le dis ça fait assez palais de Yubaba en effet. Pour ce que j'en ai compris de la signification du terme, ce ne serait pas complétement déplacé avec ce personnage en plus XD

Isn´t it a bit hard to play the kith´s flaw with her without make her look like a "stereotype" pookah? I know I asked so badly, but can´t ask better.
Most pookah with the kith flaw makes the kith a bit hard to make more unique as in a way they all feel similar (unreliable, trickster.. etc) due of this, or at least to me hard to make them "different". So far I only have an owl and fox pookah as storyteller in our chronicle but took me a lot to get into how to play them well.
Sorry for a lots of spam under the art, it really looking amazing and very atmospheric of course. I especially love the colour theme for this one and pleasant to look at it already in small thumbnail )

I usually see sluaghs more skinny than this one ^ ^
Ariah is a npc that I patiently wait to play again (I played her in the last chronicle she was only 16 ^ ^) So I'm not sure about exactly how I will play the flaw on her now that she's older, but I'm already sure that it's the kind of woman that doesn't need to talk a lot to make her clear. ^ ^
I took some liberties with the pooka flaw in my chronicle. Of course it still is ! (It wouldn't be fun without) But I tend to have some pookas that "delay" the thruth more than to hide it entirely. That's because I have A LOOOOOOOOOT of pooka in this chrnoocle and we would probably still playing the first episode if I was more strict on this point (talking about my players AND myself here)
I played a pooka that was the complete "negative" speaking of the truth... Oh my... I thought I was gonna kill myself XD
Usually I prefer babling a lot and drawning the information in a lot of superficial stuff, or play with the temper (as some of my pookas that are easily irritable and which "explose" before answering) I like those that distract the point of the conversation instead of lying. ^ ^

Ah the pookah kith book does bring lots of examples how to play that disadvantages of the kith without make everything as a lie, and that helped me to a bit get into it more.
But I still find them a bit hard to play even as npc!
But what you say gives a sense and a bit makes me think what to change as a storyteller to make all pookahs are unique and different in their own ways. So far that one owl girl helped me a lot to pull the party together, and they are super fun characters once you tame them to play with!
I though never played yet unseelie pookah so that I guess would be a hard match for me ))
And thank you very much for your long very informative reply it does make a sense! And the art is really great a very nice collab work between 2 great artists!
Makes me inspired to a bit illustrate my own chronicle we playing in Edinburgh recently. )

Yes !! I remember the kithbook that was really instructive on this point !!!
I get inspiration from it a lot, especially at the beginning before getting less strict on the flaw.
Oh talking about this... I remember now a pooka I played long ago, and he was always answering by a question.
Very naturally like "Don't you think ?" "really ?" "Are you serious ?" and stuff like this. And, it was quite fun because after few playing, an other player told me that I didn't play well the flaw, because my pooka wasn't lying. I told him : "Did he ever gave you any information ?" and the player went into error 404 for few minutes before realising that my character never said anything.... XD
But yay pookas are great.
And go illustrate your chronicle !!! Go go go !! yay for changeling work ^_________^
