Before I leave for Vancouver tomorrow (just until Monday) I thought I'd leave you with something I've been working on for a while.I adore hands, so I've done a study of various Doctor Who actors' hands. See if you can guess who's who.
(some are the same person)
Oh for goodness sake... forgot to mention, a couple of the hands belong to a lady companion with very wide palms. ONLY New Who actors' hands are in this study.
And those little numbers are just dates, as I did this over a few days. Ignore them.
Done with a 0.7 B mechanical pencil on regular paper.

A tiny smudge stick. You can get them at any art store.

So I'm guessing the bottom left is David Tennant...because how EVER could you mistake those skinny little fingers? Er...the two on the right are Matt Smith, and the one between those two is also Tennant? And i wanna say the one on the top left is Eccleston...I'm not sure about the other two. One of them looks very girly...but I don't recall which companion may have hands like that, except maybe Donna...yeah, the last one I have no clue.

These are lovely.
None of them really look like Matt Smith's hands to me, so I'm going to take a chance and leave him out. Most of the shots of him I've seen he tends to hold his hands in almost awkward positions, with different fingers kind of sticking out.

I'm thinking the bottom right is Matt Smith, bottom left is Tennant. The one pointing to the side and the one next to it (the hanging one) have sort of an Ecclston-ness to me. Ehhh... that's it. Dunno if those are any where near right, but I can't figure out the rest. Good show madamoiselle.

The top right one is Smith, and I'm pretty sure that the hand sort of in the middle and to the far right is Eccleston...Not 100% sure about either.
Did you use references for these? 'Cause they look like photos.

I just adore your style. I myself use mechanical pencils, but I can't get quite as good consistency in shading. I love how your drawings are both smooth and a bit rough (if that makes any sense).

Bottom right is Tom Baker, right? I remember seeing you drawing him earlier and he had that same hand-pose. Is top left Eccleston? I think that center one ("pointer") is also Eccleston... I want to say that Tennant is the bottom left, but I'm not sure if they're his or the first doctor (can't remember his name...).

I know that the one pointing down is Pertwee because he had that ring on his pinky and the upper right is Troughton. And I think the ones on the rope are Smith's.

I'm guessing the one pointing down is Pertwee's, because he's the only one I remember wearing a ring. Third one down on the right side might be Eccleston's. The ones in the left corner are probably Tennant's. I don't know about the others.

I'm going to have to say.... the hanging one on the far right is number 9. The pointing one right above is... 11. And maybe the hands holding the stick are 10. I think. Maybe.
