Description Round 3 Entry for Apoc 2010 ([link] ). Another last minute finish since I've been wonky with work and back trouble.

Here's her finishing blurb, also sorta out of nowhere:

The sun was rising on a new morning. Most days it seemed as though the Emerald Death was a lifetime ago, not merely a year. Most days it was getting easier to forget her ordeal in the facility. Aerin hardly spoke of it after her flight to freedom brought her, bruised and bloody of foot, to a commune of ED survivors at the edge of the Great Plains. No one asked her story at first, letting her heal her body at least for about a month. The next five months brought a healing of spirit. She'd never been to the country as a child and the openness and greenness seemed a far cry from her city life and the sterility of her capture. She labored in the commune gardens, tended the livestock on occasion, and... fell in love. Someone to hold her when the nightmares hit and kiss away the tears that came with them. Someone to, perhaps, seed the next generation with in time. The sun was rising on a new era in her life, one made only brighter by the promise held in the simple ring on her left hand.
