Description A while ago Meaghan mentioned to me that she wanted Harley's Cork gun, my response HELLS YEAH!

I'm not very good with props but I'm quite pleased with how it came out, the gun is a modified Nerf Maverick [link] The gun is basically cut and pasted back together. I had originally put a bit more silver on it but I like it better with more black.

The wig is also cut and styled by me, its a long curly wig which I put up into pigtails X.x as well as cutting the bangs etc

EDIT: I was requested to put together a tutorial on the Harley Quinn cork gun, so I whipped something together. Feel free to comment/PM me with any questions. [link]

Is there any way you could possibly post a tutorial of sorts to modifying a nerf gun? D;
If not, it's alright. But your gun looks incredible~ :3

I put together a quick tutorial on how I altered the Maverick. Its a pretty easy job I used a hand saw to cut the gun since there are metal springs and lots of little bits inside the gun. If you have any more questions I'd be glad to help.

Oh, you're a wonderful person~ ;0;

One question that will sound /EXTRAORDINARILY/ dumb - What's a mug cover? I don't ever have to use mugs, so. D;

Its a silicone 'slip cover'/grip/holder for hot mugs/glasses. I'm not sure if there is a real name for them. You can find them at places like Home Outfitters or stores that sell kitchen apparel generally. Hope that helps

OHHH, one of those gripper sleeve things~

Wait, so was it squishy/flexible? Or stiff?

And, whichIsincerelyapologizeforhordingyouwithdumbquestions, but is craft foam basically those thin foam sheets, or am I mistaken?

it was flexible which made fitting it easier.
Craft foam/foamies are basically the same things, there just thin foam sheets

Everything looks fantastic! and as I commented on the other picture , that wig is BEAUTIFUL! If you take commissions, I would gladly pay you to style my wig, I'm horrible at it.

Its really quite easy if you have a nice thick wig as a base

I was reading the tutorial you sent me and it was a bit complicated for a beginner like myself, so I might have to use it as a guideline and practice on a wig I don't use or need anymore. The wig you used, was it curly or wavy as shown? The wig I'm thinking of using in the future is thick with curls and I'm hoping it will work. I seriously always seem to do something wrong so the wig cap shows or it looks very messy. @_@

It was a curly wig, it took me three tries of putting it up to be happy with it

LadyofSparda In reply to gillykins [2010-04-10 01:31:20 +0000 UTC]

lol That's going to be me Did you find it was easier to pin it to a foam head and put it up that way or would putting the wig on a person be best?

gillykins In reply to LadyofSparda [2010-04-10 02:22:58 +0000 UTC]

On a person is easier, since wig heads are fairly small

And they shift even when it is pinned down, so I will try it out while a person wears it.
