This is a really amazing shot, especially for someone as new to the photography world as i, to aspire to. Like many people here i am in ore of your work and your kindness for sharing your technique, however, might i ask what camera you use to achieve these shots? Only the ability to manipulate the white balance is clearly a key area for achieving this effect.

Thank you

Great picture.
Would love to know your post process technique. Only way I've achieved similar effects (but not as good) is with some trickery with Gimp.

Gilad --

Interesting effect -- my first impression was of a billowing oil fire on the horizon!

I think what amazes me most about the photo is how well the composition works when it really shouldn't... that massive gray "cloud" formed by the foreground tree is so dominant, it should throw the whole picture out of balance -- yet the starkness of the blue pool and the rhythms of the clouds and undulating grass hold it together. Surreal and visually intriguing... it challenges the eye and teases the mind.
