You work a lot with reflections. It always takes me a while to figure out if it was photo manipped or not.

what an amazing surreal picture from something so mundane... i absolutely ADORE your work. really.
however the entire photo looks like it was stretched out vertically though/squashed in horizontally though...was it orignially like this?

I continue to learn from every piece of yours i see. It is amazing that you found this, and composed it so well. I had a hard time convincing myself that this is not edited in photoshop. Amazing

I love the surreal aspect of this photo. The sky and the ground combine with the bicycle symbol to create a powerful visual statement. The bicycle symbolizes transportation a means of getting us somewhere - within this image it could be a place or a state of mind. Normally this mode of transportation is grounded (pardon the pun) to the earthly ground plane or reality. The presence of the wonderful blue sky with the leaves 'blowing' through it symbolizes heavenly harmony and also the aspirations of "reaching for the sky' or following your dreams. The bicycle does not have to stay grounded to it's bound realm. It can with the right person steering it, reach for the sky and travel in the sky. This whole image speaks of 'reaching for the sky' and following your dreams.

It's like driving straight into something unknown but beautiful and adventurous. I can imagine myself riding a bike which suddenly leaves the ground and I find myself somewhere else. And as funny it might sound here, I like it, the feeling it brings to me. This unlimited feeling, how I could change myself just by thinking that I can change my surroundings with my imagination.
You've done awesome work once again, Gilad. I bet most of the people don't even notice this kind of things, it's such a pity. You truly have the talent, to spot these and to capture them. The blue and the leaves are just.. well, I don't think I need to find a word. I just say they are.

It intrigues me how you can get such perfect reflections from shallow puddles. Everytime I've tried to find those blue-sky-reflections I end with unsuccesful brown skies... does it have to do with time of the day? maybe cleanness of the water?
Anyway, nice piece of your surreal point of view...

Sorry it took me so long to get to read your words...
It's all about the angle looking into the reflection

Very insightful interpretation, goes well with your poetry... As if riding a bike into deep cloudes, transparent, full of colours to the other Worlds yet joyfully graunded down by eternal force...
Cheers..

The sides would have taken away from the attention.
The idea was to use the subject to show the idea. The idea would have been lost with the loss of attention to it.
Thank you for the wonderful comment, as you always give.
