i have a theory.
Heephis saw what was happening with Zielo, so he split his soul into three parts in his demise.
those three part's of Heephis's soul connected to three mobian mortals causing sonic, silver, and shadow to be born.
my question is, if all three part's of Heephis's soul are brought back together, can Heephis be revived?

maybe Zielo took the mobian part out to leave them with the god part?

I was actually thinking about that too.Β Heephis might not be able to be brought back in a physical form since it sounds like Zielo destroyed both Heephis and Ceilio's physical form...at least that's how Im reading it...but maybe with those three souls in play he can gently push Sonic Shadow and Silver to figure out how to defeat Zielo.Β
Another question that I have is, what corrupted/tainted Zielo in the first place? I mean he used to be one of the good guys from what I can tell. So what happened that opened him up to be being tainted. certainly with the level of power he has, he has the ability to block whatever it is.Β
My hypothesis is this: back before this tainting happened, Zeilo used to be a protector of life, one of the good guys, Like Sonic and his brothers. Neither of the three ever considered themselves Gods but knew they had special abilities that others did not. Something extraordinarily traumatic happened to Zielo that was so profound, it made him more susceptible to being tainted. Heephis sees the change taking place over time and acts accordingly, sending those three pieces of his soul into the future to be reborn in hopes that they would be able to stop him.
in addition to that...where did this thing causing the tainting originate from? It couldn't have just appeared out of thin air. I forget which issue it was, but I thought that one of the character's mentioned that Zielo himself is also tainted. It may be, as absurd as it may sound, there's a element we haven't been introduced too yet that's been pulling the strings from "behind the curtain" so to speak. And its not like that's not been done before. I know some hate it when Sonic 06 is brought up, but as it is cannon..look what happened with Silver. He was one of the good guys wanting to save his world and Mephilis manipulated him into attempting to kill Sonic. So it might be that Zielo is being manipulated as well, but event that started it, whatever that might have been, consumed him so much, and has made him so blind, he doesn't even realize its there. Maybe in hopes of stopping Zeilo, Heephes hoped that those souls would be able to restore him to the way he used to be too.
Again this is all hypothesis. either way I'm looking forward to seeing how this all plays out!

I'm starting to wonder that when Sin corrupted the the Gods Celios, somehow, got away unharmed as he is seen him before when Sonic gives him a coin before he, Silver and Shadow went on their mission. The theory I've drawn up is pretty much this; only Heephis and Zielo got corrupted and the latter is still under the control of that corruption as in page 29 of issue 31 we see his appearence is starting to look like Silver when he first arrived. This shows that while Zielo has great power the darkness changes him. Somewhat like the One Ring if you think about it.
