i will admit... at first i didn't know what a Vetala was... so i did research... and i scared myself doing so, because it's dark out right now and everyone's asleep and the house is awfully quiet... so yeah.... wrong time to do research...
anyway, the moment i saw ~Caracasa 's references, for some reason, the image of an eerie undead marionette/ballerina suddenly popped into my head and it got stuck there... hence the pose.... and there was this certain look that i felt just HAD to go with that pose...
so after much deliberation on how i wanted to go about this... voila!
hope it turned out okay! colors might come of a bit muted, but that's how i wanted it to look... i wanted the overall feel to be-- for lack of a better term-- lighter... considering the dark nature of her being a Vetala D:
So yes, Kich-chan, this is for you... a bit long in the making but at least better late than never.
Once again, thank you for indulging in my nonsensical banter.

This is the first time I've seen another Vetala OC, & I've gotta say, I adore this stitched-up concept! Kudos to the player for the wonderful design, & serious props to the artist for their beautiful portrayal. I might have to bring my Vetala guy to you someday ;}

This is about four and a half months late but...wow, another Vetala player! They've got such an interesting background, I'm happy to hear there are more of them around!

Yes, I think they're fascinating! There's so much to do with them. Mine, for example, is his own "Frankenstein monster"- he's trying to create the perfect body, sowing different pieces of "beautiful humans" together. They're cryptic, but it's too much fun.

Oh, that's neat! Amrita used to be a tiny, rotting young Zombie...but she made friends with an Igor, who took it upon himself to build her a nice, proper body so she could finally be her age. Hence the patchwork! It's been a fun story so far. She doesn't care what she looks like, because the flesh is just a suit anyway.

im actually unfamiliar with the game this character is supposed to be based on...
the only vetala i know, are the hindu demon-types and those things from Supernatural...

Oh, yes, that's what I meant {the first one}! I too made up a vetala character based on the creatures from Hindu mythology ^_^
I'm not sure if they're featured in any games.

exactly! and just in case you want to know what specific creepy piano music was playing in my head at the time... it was "Porcelain Doll" from the iPad game "Pulse"....
