I usually intend to color a lot of my sketches- but we know what road good intentions is paved with. I decided to color the Secret Santa gift I did for (which was colored on my laptop using Paint.NET) and thought "Why not the prank drawing, too, which was just an inked pencil sketch- and very sketchy. I made several copies at Office Depot and got out the PrismaColor pencils. The background was added in shades of gray to suggest a cold day. After scanning, I did the gray sky in Paint.NET because I hate drawing sky in pencil. A few tweaks here and there and here you go. That poor little guy is gonna be SO cold!Related content

I can see a lot more detail now. It looks great.

Actually, much of the detail was added to the original drawing by the Prismacolors- the houses and trees, for example. The blue shadows are also new. The murky gray sky was made by adding a background layer under the drawing, with various shades of gray scrawled across it and then blurred to blend them. Smoke the same way.
