Deviantart keeps killing the quality on this, I had to mess around with display options a little bit but hopefully clicking on it will show the better image quality. Sorry!

Okay, maybe it's not a complete redesign but I haven't drawn ponies in a very long time till recently so I'm kinda trying to relearn. The only major changes are mostly on Applejack and Rarity. AJ got a white blanket and nose stripe, shorter mane, and braided tail. And shoulder freckles, which... I'm noticing a trend I have... Rarity got back+shoulder dappling, slight mane+tail restyling, darker ear tips, and a verrrrry faint white diamond on her forehead under her horn. Rainbow's mane was shortened and Pinkie's underside got a slight color adjustment. Also different wing shapes! I tried to make them come across more clearly here.

Here are the old designs. Most of the info on there is still accurate (except for the thing about Rarity being distantly related to Trixie that was very random, why did I make that a thing, what was I going for there???).

Just to preemptively answer some questions in case anybody is curious:

A brief rundown of who's with who and their kids:

--Twilight is with Vinyl Scratch. Their kids are Midnight Neon and Nightfall Skyline.

--Rainbow and Pinkie are together. They currently have Bluejay Dash, Summer Sherbert (yes spelled wrong bc that's how I've always pronounced it lol), and Rainier Danish Pie. They also miiiiight have two on the way...

--AJ is the single parent of Gingergold Bright Apple. His father is a mystery donor that will be revealed at the front half of Arc 2.

--Fluttershy, Rarity, and Discord are in a poly relationship. Rarity had Silvern Radiance during her previous marriage with South Pole. Fluttershy and Discord had Lobelia prior to Rarity joining them. Periwinkle Pearl is biologically Fluttershy and Rarity's, and Sebastian is biologically Rarity and Discord's.

Rainbow Dash trans??

Short answer: yes, because.
Long answer: This was conceptualized from a very old drawing from a sketchbook I once had, I'm not sure if I have it anymore but it was from before I found out that nextgens were a thing so it's kind of an unofficial prequel. The basic gist was that Pinkie had a huge crush on Rainbow but RD kind of... turned her down despite reciprocating because he was very insecure and still trying to awkwardly navigate coming out to his friends, so was afraid of messing things up. They talked some sense into him and Rainbow and Pinkie talked it out, finally ending up together. If I ever find the comic maybe I'll fix the writing and redraw it. Rainbow and Pinkie were very big comfort characters for me growing up so a character coming out as trans and being accepted by their partner was very important to me because the person I was dating at the time was not accepting and just kind of shitty in general.
TL;DR answer: still yes, but in a personal way. Also magic.

Your ships are utter nonsense/Why are your ships so weird??

um I know thanks/sometimes I have very intricate, thought out reasons for selecting two ponies and cultivating a complex, compelling dynamic for both them and their children... Other times the brain sees two horses and goes "those two, smoosh those two together, make em kiss" and then their hellspawn is born... *googles horse gestation period* 11 to 12 months later! And that's how Creamsicle and Snow Tiger came to be.
Something could be said about the importance of color palettes that look good together and blend well to make good fankid designs (partly why Pinkie and Rainbow have 5 kids). Then again I'm a huge Doctor/Derpy fan and trying to come up with good kid designs for them is a pain imo, hence why I only made Blinky and he's very milquetoast.
I also sometimes throw together two characters if I think it'll liven up the plot or make for some interesting interactions. Like, I don't actually ship Blueblood and Mudbriar but the hilarity of just those two getting together, and then Jelly Beech finding out that Canterlot's famous youngest model is her half brother is about as wild as simply looking at Café and going "wow he's gorgeous" and then seeing who his parents are.

I have no justifications for SoarinTrash, however.
