Description
Other than cranes and hornbills, another type of bird I just love so much!
Shoebills are just so friggen majestic-looking, and really hits home with how birds really are just modern-day dinosaurs.
Painted with Windsor and newton watercolours, white windsor and newton calligrphy ink, a mangaka fine flexible pen, and black india ink, all on Arches 100% cotton cold-pressed watercolour paper.
This splattery drippy texture-y watercolour style is so fun! What other animals should I paint?
Species: Balaeniceps rex - Shoebill/whaleheaded stork
