He has a stepdad. Or better, a stepfamily with stepdad, -mum and brother.
He knows that he is adopted (aside from being a bear hybrid when the 'parents' are lynxes and the brother is a tiger hybrid, he was told at an very early age), but he just decided to leave out the "step-" part and just calls them mum, dad and brother. :3

Well it's good they're honest about it, but them it's quite clear their relations are not biological.
I'm no dad but can tell he's upset about something, I'd just carry over too and armchair let him snuggle on my lap say that he can bring it up when ready and just hold him close.

I have several pictures with my brothers. His stepparents aren't really figured out yet. They are lynxes, they care a lot about their boys and they appear in the small stories I write for some of the pictures. But I don't really know what they look like
