A peace offering to for our recent misunderstanding.(I used both aspects of Matsumoto's "Yamato" and Emperor Desslok's flag ship "The avenger")

Wonderful ship my brother! I can imagine perhaps this being a blend design after Dessy had formed his alliance with the EDF after the Bolar incident. ^ ^ Considering the Yamato's potent firepower, and the Gamilon's impressive armor, such a ship would be more than a match should the oppressive Bolars, or Black Nebula Empire decided to try their hand again at invasion.

Speaking of our Matsumoto posse, my son and I saw the live action "Yamato" on you tube last night, it was pretty awesome!
Our old girl the Yamato looked great!Never better! the cast was wonderful and and it did right by Reiji-san mostly.
My only real complaint was their version of Desslok and company. The Gamilas(Gammilons) looked like the Hylden from The Legacy of Kain worlds, and Desla(Desslok) was an animated humanoid shaped glob of hair gel! (W.T.F.?) I understand that they were supposed to be beings that dwelt in both the physical and non physical planes(an interesting concept) And I can live with Dr.Sado being a cute Lady(imagine a slightly taller,human version of my "Der Meep" character)The doc still has the pudgy kitty and giant bottle of sake..er.."spring water".
The rest of the movie was awesome despite that.
Ah,call me old school, but,when it comes to Emperor Desslok and the Gammilons I much prefer their combo of Space Prussians and high tech Romans to Hylden wanna bes and talking hair gel.
(Emperor Desslok:"Honestly,talking hair gel?"
Kain of Nosgoth:"No worse than the Hylden-Light old man!"
Desslok:" Old man? Kain, you're 50,000 years older than I am."
Kain:"Picky,picky,picky.")

He is honorable, unlike his son Hermoso the Mighty, who gambles a lot. Hermoso teh Dignified is a wise old sage who's life events are worth more to him in his old age, than all the education and science his nation learned through the years, centuries and eras combined.

Hmm, a bit like England's prince Albert( Oueen Victoria's husband,the prince consort.) was a stand up kind of guy,but his son prince Edward was a bit of a playboy.(Of course later events forced him to mature and deal with his obligations) I would have liked to have Hermoso the dignified.

Well Hermoso the Mighty does mature, but not for a while, and the events around him force him to mature when Knod is threatened at home.
Hermoso the Dignified is a great leader, and really tried to be a good father, but his seventh son, who was much like him, didn't fit in with his brothers, and Hermoso the Mighty, being a great military tactician at heart really did do well by the kingdom when he did mature.
