Description I love the 1972 Spanish/British flick "Horror Express." It's monsters, zombies, and Russian soldiers on a speeding Trans-Siberian train in 1906!  Awesome, right?  It's the "so bad it's good" kind of movie, but I love the concept and the era they chose to set it in.

Telly Savalas plays the Russian Cossack, Captain Kazan, and steals the show when he finally arrives.  "I AM Siberia!"

This is a great picture you did. I'm a huge horror fan and like this movie quite a bit. Also have a remastered copy of it on the shelf!

Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee are always great together on the big screen.

Thanks very much!  It really is a cool concept - monsters on a train.  There are certain actors who just add a huge dose of class to anything they are involved in, even if it's a low budget monster movie.

There's also a hint of H.P. Lovecraft themes thrown in the story concerning cosmic monsters from space. Cheers.

Have you ever done any Doctor Who art? I'm a fan of Doctor Who as long as I was of horror fan.

I agree on the Lovecraft vibe.  Horror Express is based on the same story as John Carpenter's "The Thing."  I think it's called "Who Goes There?"
No Dr. Who art.  Never got into it.  I mean, I'd do it if someone commissioned me though, haha.

Me too!  Thanks.  If you like this, be sure to check out a TV series called Penny Dreadful if you haven't already.

Telly Savalas, given any opportunity at all, will steal scenes, shows, and the attention (if not the hearts) of the audience in any film or play he is in. Very well done, George.

Very true!  He also reminds me a lot of my grandfather - it's probably the Greek features, and the fact that they're both so cool!  Thanks, Katherine.
