I was taking a film class at the time--hence a film camera. The winding mechanism to take in the film was a little wonky and a few times I opened the back of the camera to find the film hadn't been wound in all the way. So it's a light smear where light hit the undeveloped negative for half a second (long enough for me to go "oh sh$t" and close the back again).
