Done for a dear friend of mine. It was a definite departure to try and pay homage to my favorite art style. Much of it is symbolic but really it's just a great excuse to fiddle with the motifs and designs of Art Nouveau. Wee!Enjoy
For those interested in the symbols
1. The flowers represent the national flower of the Philippines (jasmine) and the state flower of California (poppy).
2. My friend is an avid reader and philosopher in both Eastern and Western thought.
3. His chief element is air, his sub element being water.
4. Being a philosopher, he has come up with his own spiritual symbols, represented in the 8 triangle configurations below.

Got the poppy (my state flower), but failed to notice the water element, and wouldn't have understood the rest of the symbols without your key.

We've got: Conspicuous conservative consumerism in the Newport Beach area; gentrified Bohemian artsiness in Laguna Beach; master-planned Stepfordia in Irvine; Huntington Beach trying to capitalize on its "Surf City" nickname while discouraging any actual surfers 'cause, you know, apparently changing out of your wetsuit constitutes indecent exposure; San Clemente, famous for being the same temperature year-round; Anaheim, a subsidiary of Disneyland, Inc.; a bunch of communities up in the central-northern part of the county that don't count because they don't have beaches and elected a Latina Democrat...
