Author's note: this is a long primer for this potential story, but I thought it was important to explain as much of the world that these characters inhabit, so the reader has a great sense of what is going on.

Normal Society Intro

On an alternate Planet Earth that was a century ahead of our world in terms of technology, a great world war broke out in the middle of their 19th century involving all nations, with no end in sight.

Due to the enormous death toll, and complete destruction of many cities, warring countries decided to push their scientists to develop a way to improve the strength, durability, stamia, and intelligence of their soldiers, in hopes of gaining an advantage.

But all efforts failed. The test subjects all had fatal reactions to any such formula developed. So the governments “officially” ended the program.

But unofficially, work continued. Scientists eventually discovered that their formula could work on young children, as those that were tested showed no side effects, unlike the adult test subjects who continued to die.

Scientists who worked for the enemy now where hailed as patriots, and eventually, all scientists got together to take the most successful of their test formulas, and combine them into one.

After the war, all the world's children between 5-7 years of age were injected with the new formula, with a booster given five years later. The results were fantastic, beyond that scientific community’s wildest dreams.

By the time they were done growing, males averaged between 13-14 feet in height, with females measuring between 11-12 feet. And it wasn't just their height.

The strength also grew exponentially, with males able to lift 3-4 times what a physically fit male body builder could. Females were 2-3 times stronger than any body builder.

Soon, normal sized males in traditional blue collar jobs, such as construction, warehouse, auto, lumber, steel, and the rest, were all replaced by younger, taller, stronger males and females that could do three times the work in less time.

Society sooned thrived, as life became more efficient. New townships sprouted up that were comprised entirely of the new formula adults.

Scientists had no idea how the new formula adults’ children would turn out, and plans were made to give them the formula injections on the same time schedule.

However, everyone was pleasantly shocked when babies were born that were twice the size of normal babies. And that continued for two generations.

However, by the time the third generation was born, people were shocked that male newborns had reverted back to the pre formula measurements. Females were different. They continued with the formula measurements, and that stark contrast in the sizes of males and females caused the scientific community to take action.

Assuming that male biology made it necessary for them to get the shot every third generation, boys were given the shot between 5-7 years of age. However, it had absolutely no effect. By the time they were 11, they were of normal height and weight. The only side effect was that they were statistically weaker than what they should have been.

This alarming development led to rise in segregated schools, as males couldn't handle any female that wanted to start any trouble. And being wary of lawsuits and harassment charges, the decision was made to have separate schools for boys and girls.

After three more generations were born, and with physical differences between males and females making it impossible to co-mingle either at work, school, or even eating out or shopping, it was voted on that women would assume all positions of power in society. Militaries were quickly disbanded, as women understood history, and that every war was the result of male egos trying to prove their superiority.

In an unexplained quirk, all women grew to 12 feet, none shorter or taller than that. Men grew to between 5’9”-6’, none shorter or taller than that. As a result, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Royalty, business leaders and managers and supervisors, all became strictly the purview of females.

Females and Males also developed at different rates. Females started developing thick, natural muscle by the time they were 8. Not only were they taller than any male, but much, much stronger as well.

This meant that older brothers would walk on eggshells so as not to anger their younger sisters, as their fathers had no way to handle the young girls, and their mothers would tell them that it was their fault for being disrespectful.

Girls grew to their full height by the time they were 15 years old, with their bodies filling out to full maturity by the time they reached adulthood at age 18.

Males reached their full height and physical maturity by the time they reached adulthood at age 21. But they were adults in name only, as they couldn't live on their own, possess property, or make decisions on their own. That was the result of overzealous female politicians sneaking that language into a bill at the last minute, with no one reading it until it was too late, and all attempts to repeal it consistently failed.

Men were quickly relegated to becoming house husbands. There were even discussions of making education strictly for females, but saner heads prevailed, as many came to the conclusion that society would benefit with as many educated people as possible.

But, males were given the basic elementary-high school curriculum. Females were given the accelerated curriculum. By the time they completed 8th grade, they had completed high school level classes. By the time they graduated high school, they were basically college graduates.

Over the generations, as society adapted to this new normal, it became clear that the matriarch of the family needed to groom their daughters to run a household in case something would happen to the lady of the house.

As soon as the matriarch determined her daughter was mature enough, and of good mind and character, she would gently increase the younger girl’s responsibility, until she felt comfortable letting her make the day to day decisions with respect to how the household was run.

If there wasn't a daughter, then the lady would make arrangements with a sister, aunt, niece, or neighbor to take in the males.

This was how life functioned on this alternate Planet Earth. It had evolved into a strictly matriarchal society. This story will primarily focus on Carol (12ft) and Bob (6ft) Brady, both 38, and their children, Ted (17yr and 5’5”) and Alice (11yr and 9 ft).
