Personality: Natalie is a diligent, refined pilot in the making. She's generous, patient, persistent, and good-natured; however, once her mind is set on an idea or subject, it will be proven quite difficult for her to veer away from it. She's strong-willed, and a bit too conscientious and hard-working.
Due to her father's background and status, Natalie feels a sense of pressure from others (At the Garrison, students and most definitely from the faculty). She believes that people are expecting her to be a famous pilot just like her dad, and will often be compared to him; sometimes being called Ms."Half"-ner saying she's only half as good as her father. Because of this, Natalie would push herself to do his hardest and best, and fears failure or disappointment.
Though seemingly easygoing from the outside, she takes her training quite serious, and will possibly spend hours (few days at most) to try and improve her skills and knowledge, even when it's not necessary. Because of this, she suffers from sleep deprivation and will sometimes nap during the day, or even sleeping in in the morning; resulting in showing up late for class thus earning her other nickname from the instructors "Ms.Late".

She is known to meditate and/or listen to music (and play some music) to ease her mind and keep her emotions balanced. She also has an interest in PC and video gaming, and is quite knowledgeable on how to complete levels and win. When she's not gaming, Natalie will also take time in reading comic books and manga, and will truly get into the zone of said subjects.

Talents/Skills: Natalie prefers to be a distant-organized fighter. She likes to plan out her attacks rather than run in head first and perform random actions. At the start of being a paladin, her archery skills were quite lousy to say the least. She would shoot everywhere but at the direct target. But overtime, with much practice and determination in the training room of the castle, her aim started to improve.
Though not taking it into much consideration during her years at the academy, Natalie has quite the skill in the medical field. She's able to properly treat wounds and use various (familiar and foreign) supplies and chemicals to create potions to heal her patients. This skill was influenced from her mother when she would treat her wounds in her younger years, and when she treated her father's wounds when he came back from his missions. Despite this, Natalie doesn't make much of this ability for her main focus was wanting to be a astropilot.

Natalie's father, Yvon Hafner, was a former pilot who went on several astro exploration missions back in his time making him an idol and one of many figures to look up to by youths. He would occasionally return home to his wife, Sabrina, and two kids, Natalie and Ethan, and tell stories about his journeys through space. Amazed with his stories, it then inspired Natalie to travel in her father's footsteps.

During her teenage years, Natalie enrolled at Galaxy Garrison, where her father retired and became an instructor at the academy. From there she briefly met senior officer Takashi Shirogane ( who was familiar with her father's work and missions ) and befriended Matthew Holt. It wasn't until sometime later that she met Lance and Hunk and had casual conversations with one another, of course with Lance flirting with her, which she tried to shoo him away or get him to stop. (She bumped paths with Keith occasionally, but they didn't interact as much. Only a few exchange words during training and flight simulations).

Because her father is one of many people viewed as a hero and an inspiration at the Garrison, Natalie received a lot of popularity but also a lot of pressure from many officers and cadets. Commander Iverson was definitely all over Natalie, wanting her only to have perfect results on everything. Even when it's only 85%, Iverson will snap at her saying "Your father will not accept this". It put a bunch of stress on the female, but she would still try her hardest to live up to her father's reputation.

A year after the Kerberos mission, Natalie, along with the rest of the cadets, stood and watched the flight simulation failure between Lance, Hunk, and Pidge. Afterwards, Natalie and her team were next to do their simulation training. Later that night, Lance brought Natalie to tag along with him and Hunk and eventually grab Pidge to explore the academy. The three then saw Pidge sneaking out of her room and off to the roof. Catching up to her and explaining about "Voltron" and the possible existence of aliens, that's when Shiro crash landed and was about to be rescued by Keith, until the four of them caught up and joined the rescue party.

During the events of the first episode (after the two Alteans were awaken from a 10,000 year sleep), Allura assigned Natalie to be the pilot of the White Lion and became one of the Paladins of Voltron.

The White Lion (originally piloted by Renei 10,000 years ago) is the lion that forms the center of Voltron; keeping the other lions together and balancing out the robot. Just like the rest of the lions, the white lion was separated and relocated on a foreign planet of Zneius Simga hidden deep within the inside of the mountains until it was rediscovered by its new paladin.
The White Lion didn't easily let down it's white barrier for Natalie, as it didn't like the thought of it having a new paladin (proving it's not fond of change either). But as Natalie put her hand on the barrier, she centered her focus and concentration on the lion to connect with it (almost trying to communicate with it). White found the connection as it was quite similar to Renei and accepted Natalie to pilot it.

Standard Arsenal of the White Lion:

Claws: At each of the Lion's paws, tough enough to damage armor of a Galra warship.
Tail Laser: Mounted at the tip of the Lion's tail and moderately damages targets at long range.
Mouth Cannon: Mounted within the Lion's jaws and severely damages targets at long range.
Jaw Blade: Summoned at the Lion's jaws, a blade used for cutting targets at close range. It can be tossed like a boomerang.
Force Field: When stationary, the Lion can activate an impassible energy sphere to encase and protect itself.The force field will react to a chosen Paladin and dissipate, or be willingly disengaged by the Lion.
Speeder: A small transportation vehicle unique in design for its Paladin to traverse environments; the speeder drops from the Lion's chest, and is stored in the Castle of Lions when the Lion is not in use, transporting the Paladin to the Lion when needed.
Thrusters: Mounted on each of the Lion's back legs and on all four paws; these powerful engines are used for initiating flight, increasing speed, or slowing descent.
Headlights: The eyes of the Lion can act as headlights to illuminate dark areas

Hidden Power: The White lion has a thunder-cannon that can be fired from it's mouth, electrocuting/ shorting out any enemies or ships. The lion also has the ability to fire out an energy beam of healing. To partially repair/repower the other lions and ships.

Standard Arsenal of the White Lion:

Claws: At each of the Lion's paws, tough enough to damage armor of a Galra warship.
Tail Laser: Mounted at the tip of the Lion's tail and moderately damages targets at long range.
Mouth Cannon: Mounted within the Lion's jaws and severely damages targets at long range.
Jaw Blade: Summoned at the Lion's jaws, a blade used for cutting targets at close range. It can be tossed like a boomerang.
Force Field: When stationary, the Lion can activate an impassible energy sphere to encase and protect itself.The force field will react to a chosen Paladin and dissipate, or be willingly disengaged by the Lion.
Speeder: A small transportation vehicle unique in design for its Paladin to traverse environments; the speeder drops from the Lion's chest, and is stored in the Castle of Lions when the Lion is not in use, transporting the Paladin to the Lion when needed.
Thrusters: Mounted on each of the Lion's back legs and on all four paws; these powerful engines are used for initiating flight, increasing speed, or slowing descent.
Headlights: The eyes of the Lion can act as headlights to illuminate dark areas

Hidden Power: The White lion has a thunder-cannon that can be fired from it's mouth, electrocuting/ shorting out any enemies or ships. The lion also has the ability to fire out an energy beam of healing. To partially repair/repower the other lions and ships.

Element: Natalie embodies the White Lion's elemental affiliation of Light: her hope and belief in others and coming together as one despite differences and views, abilities of aiding others back to good health and guiding them through rough obstacles, and having an optimistic look at life.

Weapon(s): Bayard that transforms into a bow as it summons arrows of energy. This can perform as rapid-fire or charged to unleash a more powerful blast. It also can be used a boomerang and cut threw her targets and come back to her (if she catches it). Stat Overview: As a paladin of Voltron, Natalie doesn't excel in just one category such as strength, intelligence, and agility. Instead, her skills fits in the "all-around" category. Her strength is average; not enough to go up against Hunk, but enough to carry the injured. She's not a genius like Pidge, but is knowledgeable about certain technology and medicine. Her agility doesn't match Lance's, but is decent to move quickly and easily from attacks.

- Natalie was born and raised in Dortmund Germany, before she enrolled in Galaxy Garrison

- She's fluent in both German and English and will sometimes switch between the two languages

- Natalie LOVES Christmas. She will quickly get into the spirit as early in July, and will want to decorate for the holiday as soon as it's the first of October.

- She doesn't really care for her hair. She just brushes it out, and puts it in a pony-tail. She also had let it grow out since she was 15

- The only time she did anything with her hair, was when she dyed it to make it a lighter blonde, but it ended up looking green

- She is a complete and total geek. She loves watching Sc-fi stuff growing up, and will make a lot of video game quotes or quotes from certain movies/shows ( ie: Star Trek, Zelda, Portal, etc. )

- Her mother was a baker, and baked many German desserts for Natalie and the family. Every now and then, Natalie misses her mother's desserts

- Despite not being able to cook, she knows how to prepare coffee, and can make delicious hot chocolate/cocoa

- Because of her pale skin complexion, Natalie needs sunscreen if she stays out in the sunlight for too long

- She doesn't have a favorite genre of music, she'll listen to anything that sounds good to her. ( It could range from heavy metal to orchestral classics )
