Incidentally, since you're a fanatic about these mechanical suits, would you mind explaining to me what's with the flaps and wings and horns and spires? Is it just aesthetics or do they have a real function?

I wouldnβt call myself a fanatic.
like almost every mech design, most of the details are purely aesthetics, though the things on the shoulders are reserve batteries/weapon containers. Itβs really a cybernetic monster clad in armour, powered by an external power source.

man, I haven't seen an eva pic in ages. The head seems a little small when compared to the bulk of the rest of it.
I like it though
I used to draw eva's all the time, around 4 or so years ago. They were the only mechs I was able to draw well.

I agree with CandyWarlock, the lower half is a bit rough. Still good though. It looks sleeker somehow.

Sweet inkwork.
The upper half is really stunning. But the bottom seems too shaky and insecure to be stylish-ly sketchy.
Stronger lines and detail would this piece some good.
Other than that I really like it.
