Description Princess Sally Acorn from Sonic the Hedgehog on a 11”X14” canvas in acrylic and water paints.

Ok, this is weird, Gemini drawing furries! XD lol For the longest time, I decided that I did not even like furries since quite a bit of the media only wanted to depict them as sexual objects of lust and porn. However, when I asked my boyfriend to give me a positive example of an anthromorphic character, he reminded me how I have always been a Sonic fan and that Sonic and his friends look anthromophic. Now, as to if they are furries or aliens or both, I don’t know, but they are creatures from the planet Mobius in the comics and cartoon. ^_^ And now that I once again see the positives of furries, perhaps I will draw a few critters in the future.

During the time I had been away from the online world, I had resurrected my love for Sonic the Hedgehog; along with all the characters from the Saturday morning show, games, and comics! Hee hee! While looking through the comics, I remembered how much I admired Princess Sally Acorn for being beautiful, intelligent, acrobatic, and terribly caring for other people. I really like her, and because of that I have and still do declare myself a Sonic and Sally fan. Don’t get me wrong though, as I do not and will not argue with others as to whom Sonic should be with; not just because it’s really kinda silly to do so, but also for this little fact…... Technically, Sonic The Hedgehog was created in Japan, so, does this mean that Sally does not exist according to the story Sonic’s Japanese creators had given him? I have searched tirelessly for who truly owns Sally and if she has any true connection to Sega, but found nothing solid! I know she is owned by Sega of America, but do the original Japanese creators acknowledge her? If anyone knows any ties here, please feel free to present them as unknown information is welcome! ^_^

As for the Sonic games, I think Sonic and Elise would be nice, but that is just me. She is cute, and I know that there are plenty who love Amy, however, I simply don’t care for her too much. *shrugs* Don’t take this to heart though, because I am only stating what I like rather than what should be. Only the developers and writers of Sonic can tell that one. ^_^

just to let you know, The end credits of SATAM confirm she's Sega of America's property.

and good job.

Thanks!!

I figured that the credits were referring to the game characters, and not necessarily included Sally. However, that would be cool if she is actually considered property by Sega and not just Archie. It would be amazing to see her in a recent Sonic game (other than Sonic pinball), but I am not holding my breath.

well if you want further proof.
The end credits of Adventures of Sonic also confirmed that scratch, Grounder, and Breezie are owned by Dic in the credits.

If she wasn't Sega Property, the credits would have said so.

I suppose you are correct! However, it still makes me sad that Sega of Japan is unlikely to ever claim her. If she only exists in Sega of America only, is she really a cannon character, or is she technically fan fiction because she is not apart of the main branch?

that's more of the case of Sega of Japan being creativity hogs then an argument of who's official.
Since Sega of America was heavily involved with Sonic's creation.

Huh, did not know that. I figured that Sega of America's involvement only applied to english voice dub, text, and distribution.

How did you not know? They were the ones who axed the idea of Sonic having fangs, a human girlfriend, and a band with Vector the Crocodile.
Plus they were the ones who developed his personality, and chose to make him a hedgehog.

Thanks! Hee hee, that is true, yet Sonic had so many story variations. XD I could probably watch the old Sonic shows on YouTube, especially since I already have found the Sonic SatAM already.
