Description ... droplets on rainbows are strangely amusing to photograph, as you have probably seen from my gallery... and I'm sure there will probably be more coming up...

Hope you like it!

I really like how much crisp detail you got magnified through the water droplet - neat effect! I also think the texture from the chalk dust adds a lot to the photo. Nicely done!

I really like the angle and the closeness of the capture. The droplets add more depth to things, and I like how there's more than just one droplet overall, to further support the concept and all.

Part of me feels that it could be deeper, in terms of the colours and all. At the moment, the lighting makes it appear quite light, which could suggest fragility, but... it lacks a bit of impact as well?

I like the depth of field, though, and how it makes this piece more interesting. I'm not too sure about the framing, though. Part of me feels that you could crop this into a square to make it more balanced and to cut down on the unnecessary space.

I used chalk...
just out of interest how did you do the droplet on the feather? didn't it just get soaked up... it's just that I want to do droplets on different materials, but some absorb the drop and on some the drop just spreads out

(thanx for the comment )

Np! Lets see for the feather i out it on a hard surface (counters work best) and then i used a syringe (no needle of course!!) and very carefully just placed a drop on the feather, but it kind of has to be dead on (like right above it or let it drop a little bit) in order for it to not like soak up or something. Is that confusing? if you have other questions lemme know, ill be glad to help!

thanx for the help... I guess i'll have to try again... maybe i'll try and find a better thing to put the droplet on things with (at the moment i use a glass pipet sort of thing that doesn't work very well)... thanx again
