For a long time, the most terrifying thing for me has been what I call the Grey - the small fears and battles we fight every day, that after a while amount to an insufferable weight that consumes you. Your hopes, your dreams, your plans for the future - all of that can turn to ash and be swept away by the wind in a blink of an eye. Even the colours lose their intensity - everything that's left is exhaustion, and then void.

The scariest thing about the Grey is the fact that this is not a visible enemy you can easily fight. Its source is your own mind - your fears, insecurities and even the need to be unbreakable, to show the world only what you want it to see. The Grey uses your thoughts against you - it's a silent threat which once awoken, never truly goes to sleep again.

The Grey is my worst nightmare - it hides behind every corner, ready to try and take the lead again. It's in the dullness of life, in the avarage day you don't find anything bright in, in people you resent. Most importantly, though, the Grey is in you. You are your own worst enemy - at the same time, you can be an unwilling accomplice in killing yourself piece by piece, and the only one able to start a grueling, difficult way back to a world full of colours.
