I have a few suggestions as far names for your OC: Isis, Oasha(pronounced O-A-Sha), Pearl, Amber, Cactus Flower.
These are only a few I could come with on the spot.

I came up with "Oasha" thinking of oasis being that OC's a sandbender and she most likely lives in the desert.
But I didn't think Oasis sounded like a good name so I changed it to Oasha.
