Description
Chiasects commonly eat soil and decomposing things (bugs, plants, some larger animals), but they can survive for months without food as long as they drink a lot of water.
They like to live in damp places.

They rub seeds into their skin to grow moss, grass, clovers, or other small plants as camouflage and to provide them with energy from photosynthesis.
